I would have thought that Mr. Green would be secure enough to embrace the many facets of his sexuality and gender identity reflected in all of his roles.
Well, I hope a competent (and attractive) therapist can help him with that.
Notice how often (in history) effective spies and secret agents have unusual sexual proclivities, often involving trying to keep secret their gay or pederastic behavior.
Like the FBI founder, and our presidunce, for instance.
When he was a gate guard, he always wore a hat that covered his hair. I don’t think he removed it until The Big Reveal that he was The Man Behind The Curtain.
So, it turns out he uses more identities besides Ira and Violet, Tip’s only met two of those identities, and I don’t think he ever found out Violet was Mr. Green, nor do I remember the Violet identity hitting on Tip. I guess this is the annoying Tip was confirming he was, is he messing with Ira Green out of spite or is he just hoping he can bang an old guy?
He is messing with a megalomaniac, and it could get him worse than killed.
I think Tip met Panoptica on Bubble’s ‘ship,’ so he met Mr. Greene three times. Also the Violet drone hit on Tip in two story arcs. During the strike negotiations with the machine union she was a mediator. During the arc with the mad genius city-on-a-train she led the Anasigma team. Violet hit on Tip those times.
When was it ever stated that Panoptica was Mr. Green? She really was a psychic working in AG-I. She simply blindly followed orders from Mr. Green, although if she had never met him in person, she would have had no idea of his true identity.
There was a scene where an AGI member was pushing Panoptica to mind-whammy Sweetheart, with both parties completely oblivious to the fact that Sweetheart was mind-whammying herself quite nicely, thank you.
That Panoptica can’t be Mr. Green, as Mr. Green (in his Ao body) was talking with Panoptica near the end of What Big Teeth. I have the proof linked in my name.
Notice the hair is different, the nose is different, and Dr. Ao’s skin is several shades lighter and less yellow. It is clear to me that they are two different people.
It is also quite likely that Dr. Ao does not actually exist, but was only a VR simulation that Sweetheart saw, since Mr. Green had hijacked the whole thing. And we also saw Dr. Ao in the VR simulation when Virginia was extirpated. We’ve never seen him outside a VR world.
It was near the end of What Big Teeth. Link is in my username. The point being that Panoptica can’t be Mr. Green, as the two of them were seen in the same place.
Virginia Lee figured out Violet Bee was controlled by Mr. Green, and she had ample opportunities to relay that information to Tip, so how he knows about previous meetings can be implied off-screen, so to speak.
I’m waiting for more gloating from the megalomaniac, monologue-ing himself into Tip’s control.
For some reason this reminds me of a line from Shlock Mercenary:
“You only mock me because you think you control me.”
“To be fair, I also mocked you when *you* thought you controlled *me*.”
Ah Xinchub. What’s he doing these days? Has Petey’s Reform program been through enough of a stress test yet?
“So you admit I have a soul.”
“Yes. But it is torn, battered, and soaked in the blood of the innocent.”
“Heh heh, yeah.”
“And it’s when you stop being pleased about that fact that we’ll know you’re making real progress.”
Hmph. I thought Ginny was the only one Ira paid attention to. Is Tip gaslighting Ira or is this actually a thing? o_O
Security guard Ira probably hit on Tip.
Yep. Unity had to put up a Post-It with “Tip’s a hairy man with floppity man-parts,” to remind him.
I think that was because he called him Ma’am. I can’t quite imagine Ira-the-security-guard hitting on anyone.
Ira in the Violet drone hit on Tip several times.
As I recall Tip never reciprocated, so when Violet Bee was revealed to be a drone it was an “A HA!” moment.
I would have thought that Mr. Green would be secure enough to embrace the many facets of his sexuality and gender identity reflected in all of his roles.
Well, I hope a competent (and attractive) therapist can help him with that.
All of his competent therapists were extirpated
Attractive ones only followed if they turned down coffee.
Apparently these people forgot Tip is a therapist. Easy mistake to make really sometimes I forget he’s more then a crossdressing manwhore too.
Tip isn’t a therapist. He’s a research psychologist.
Indeed. A point reiterated here, not long after the strip awgiedawgie cites. Therapy puppets notwithstanding.

That’s it Tip get in his head!
Psychology – it’s not just for therapy!
Technically, it’s not for therapy at all. That would be psychiatry.
More technically, a psychiatrist must be a psychologist, but not every psychologist is a psychiatrist.
But, equally technically, a therapist doesn’t necessarily need to be a psychiatrist, but a psychologist is not necessarily a therapist.
Or his pants. Your choice.
I think the final panel here sums it up rather well.
It really does doesn’t it?
Has Mr. Green’s hair always looked like he had horns?
When he was a gate guard, he always wore a hat that covered his hair. I don’t think he removed it until The Big Reveal that he was The Man Behind The Curtain.
Here …
In other words, he has permanent “hat hair”.
Pointy haired boss.

Meaning what, exactly?
That Panoptica can’t be Mr. Green, as Mr. Green (in his Ao body) was talking with Panoptica near the end of What Big Teeth. I have the proof linked in my name.
That’s not Mr.Green. That’s just a guy in a green superhero costume.
The AG-I guy in green is here.
Dr. Ao Otori is here.
Notice the hair is different, the nose is different, and Dr. Ao’s skin is several shades lighter and less yellow. It is clear to me that they are two different people.

I’m with you Awgie, I don’t remember that at all

“I started doing evil things for the greater good and over time I came to enjoy them.”
*grins*
“Happy memories?”
“Yeah. Good times, good times.”
I can imagine Mr Green saying ALL of these things.
Tip practicing therapy judo…
It’s a good thing for Ira he doesn’t have his therapy puppets with him.
Ira used therapy puppets when he was in the violet drone
“I’m not locked up in here with all of you, Ira. You’re all locked up in here with me.”
^this!
Tip assumes Ira would kill him because Ira’s attracted to him. That Ira might kill him because he’s insufferable never occurs to him.
Go for the self-confidence, Tip.
Aaaand… the scales ‘tip’ in Tip’s favor
Don’t kill him, Ira. Who’ll be the fourth guy in your foursome?
My freudian slipped
Engaging in a battle of words and wits with someone trained to get into people’s heads? I thought Mr. Green was a bit more savvy than that.
Apparently even Ira forgets that Tip is a doctor of psychology.
Go Tip!
