‘s OK, she hasn’t got a hacksaw. That there is just an ordinary handsaw. Probably used to collect ordinary hands.

Pfft. Unity is but mad north by northwest. When the wind is southerly, she knows a hack- from a hand-saw.

That reminds me, I once got to use the bandsaw in high school shop class.

      Once.

      Emanate, you are brilliant.

    So, is Unity sawing:

    a) the rope
    b) Bubble’s leg o.0
    c) the anti-grav skirt/pettycoats^
    d) other

^ it/they either have anti-grav tech built in or someone has some seriously mad couture skills …… ?

Tip has mad sartorial skills. He would have to to sew anti-gravity into a dress.

It’s probably wire, not rope. Rope is just too easily cut to use in a snare meant to trap humans (or, in this case, other sentient beings).

Rope doesn’t amputate limbs, though. I don’t know why you think wire would be used in any trap that isn’t meant to kill the victim.

Plus, go back a comic – that’s clearly rope. 😛

Not all rope is thin enough to cut through flesh. It does look like rope on the previous comic, though — maybe wire backed rope?

(TUNE: Theme to “Spider-Man”, Harris & Webster)

    Spider-kiss! Spider-kiss!
You can’t pass up a chance like this!
    Bubbles will never frown
    Even hanging upside-down!
    Take this …
    Chance for a spider-kiss!

    Whatcha got, Unity?
Say what kind of a saw I see …
Is it hack-? Is it hand-?
It’s not table-, chain-, or band-!
    All this,
    Just for a spider-kiss!

     Just hear Sweetheart shout,
”Grab the files, they’re right there!”
     Or you could make out
     As she dangles in air!

    Spider-kiss! Spider-kiss!
    Smooching with an inverted miss!
She’s no fool! She’s no toy!
    Service is her only joy!
    Go on!
You can’t believe your luck, her
Lips are all set to pucker!
    Give her a spider-kiss!

You’d never get past Konstantin. You just know he’s down in the parking garage, talking about how he faced worse sonic weapons in Russia.

You know, Unity could be sawing off Bubbles at the legs.

The anti-gravity dress seems to be misdirection from the real question, which is: where the heck IS Tip? We last saw him after Sweetheart was captured and before the sonic weapon went off. We don’t see him lying on the floor, but we also never saw Sweetheart’s reaction to the sonic weapon. So, maybe that area is shielded from the sonic weapon’s effects.
Still, Tip’s suddenly NOT being there with the stack of papers is suspicious. Did the sonic weapon cause a fashion emergency elsewhere in the building?

Yeah, that small smile in panel 4 just screams that she’s loving this and trying not to be obvious about it. The Mona Bubbles, upside down.

Smithnik: Sweetie probably wasn’t affected the same way Unity wasn’t
Tip could simply be on the other side of the stack in panel 2

Unity wasn’t affected because it’s a bio-disabling noise weapon and it probably doesn’t affect the undead and/or nanomachines. And if you look closely, in Monday’s strip it looks like Sweetheart was affected, but her [souped-up metabolism] got her back up already.
