First post of the new year. Fun!

Anyway, Yeah, that does seem like something Tigerlily would think was a good idea.

I dunno. This might be just what she needs to get ahead.

No! My evil punning! Marred by accidental double-posting!

Actually, is anyone else having new comments only start appearing about 10-15 minutes after they’ve actually been posted?

Yeah, happens to me, too. BTW, (groan)worthy pun. 😀

        Looks like it’s a double-header.

Haha… All of your spring-powered robots coming out square? Might as well go ahead and work with the squarest, spring-poweredest robot around!

      Definitely the squarest cylinder around.

Ya know, it’s not every comic that can do a nod to one of the most unsettling visuals from The Thing and have it come out hilarious and adorable 😀

It took a second or two for the penny to drop on that… to me, “The Thing” is a Phil Harris song, and a funny one at that! It’s on YouTube… and a Wikipedia page exists. Love to see what TPTB here could do with that idea!

I hope none of the mall stores sell fusion pie… or canned popcorn. He can’t be trusted around either…

So did she upgrade him from wax cylinders to cassette tapes?

Side note; one doesn’t fell particularly surprised at the failure of a mall which includes outlets such as “chicken in a bag.” They clearly were operating close to the edge to start with.

      …and yet, now I find myself wanting some Chicken In A Bag…. : D

I want to think she went with 8-track rather than cassette, it’s just a bit more funky.

I never considered myself to have arachnophobia … but this is a good start.

Think of how much fun Moustachio’s next rampage will be now that he can move around…

Wow… That’s some 5th season Mister Freeze quality nightmare fuel right there.

    And I love it!

Let me guess, she put a death ray in his hat. Also, I think this confirms that the reason why I dislike (small) spiders is that their legs are so thin as to make them nigh invisible.

Do you suppose the rest of Mustachio is on it’s own larger spider legs, just waiting in the wings as an exit strategy? Because that would be not only up Tigerlily’s alley, but definitely something a true madgirl might think would be “necessary “.

Well, the rest of Mustachio was slated for salvage…maybe this is his way of escaping that.

Reminiscent of Dr. Zin’s Robot Spy from the old Jonny Quest series.
I saw the series on its first run.
I now realize it warped me for life.
Then again I also realize it prepared me for a future no one could have anticipated.

Good. She has a partner who really knows how to rampage. Now if there is just one of those popcorn stores present.

(TUNE “Love Is All Around” (Mary Tyler Moore Show theme), Sonny Curtis)

Hello, Miss Sweet-heart, how are you?
    You’re wreaking havoc here …
My dear, I shall be assisting you!

Thanks to Doctor Jones, who broke off
All the “shackles” of “the Man” that she spoke of!

Running all around on tiny feet now!
      Auto-locomotion can’t be beat now!
Destroy this old abandoned mall …
(Tally-ho! Pip pip! Oh, what jolly ripping fun!)
       De-stroy this old a-ban-doned mall!
       (Just like pop-corn …. BOOM!)

Reminds me of the ‘head in a jar’ spider bots from Radioactive Panda – and I’m not sure if I saw them in Futurama and Girl Genius.

They technically exist in the old Star Wars Extended Universe too. Well, “brain in a jar” spider robots. Under Jabba’s Palace, in fact.

Don’t recall them there. Since you specified extended – Comics (I didn’t read) or which books? – I have most till the end of the Vong invasion. X-wing sequence of books is by far my favorite arc.

Books. The anthology “Tales From Jabba’s Palace.” (Also a couple of other later short story anthologies, I *think*.

One actually makes a blink-and-you’ll-miss it appearance in Return of the Jedi itself. (That’s what the Tales From books were about– devoting whole stories to the random background weirdness from the movies.)
