    Quick. Put on a hat.

So she’ll bite off your ears SOONER, or…?

I guess “Just get it over with” makes some amount of sense…

I have a suspicion the drone’s ears are harder to bite than an actual human’s

They don’t taste as good, either. Or, uh, so I’ve heard.

We’ve seen her response to hat monsters before. It’s horror and revulsion, not jealously and ear biting (Tip still has both of his).

She’s already wearing one. Remember the drone control rig looks awfully hat-like.

If a dog wears a hat that a macaw never sees, does an ear fall in the forest?

I am a deep and abiding macaw fan, they are sort of my career. And oh how perfectly the spirit of the macaw is captured!

So you’re a criminal psychologist specializing in violent sociopaths, eh?

Jo could write at least one episode of Criminal Minds

So, an episode where someone gets pecked to a bloody pulp, and the mystery is figuring out WHICH parrot out of a half dozen did it?

(Spoilers – it was all of them.)

“So you’re a criminal psychologist specializing in violent sociopaths, eh?”

Nah, Macaws are mostly just destructive juvenile vandals. The *real* violent sociopaths of the avian world are Goshawks. I’ve known a falconer with one that while tethered outside to get some sun and fresh air….taught itself how to play “wounded bird” to lure neighborhood cats to their death in its talons. It was eating a few bites and stashing the bodies under bushes to hide for later.

She’s so cute and scary in panel 3. But unless the drone has pain feedback, no problem. She bites off an ear, just glue it back on.

It’s also possible that drone ears are more bite-resistant than human ones… which could lead to a long night of her gnawing at the stubborn things.

Unity has enormous amounts of experience to share in that category.

I was going to say that Sweetheart had experience in this sort of thing from living with U.N.I.T.Y., but you worded it much better.

Huh. Sweetheart is enjoying a surprising bout of success with the nonhuman but humanoid ladies lately.

Perhaps next time Tip can operate the drone.

Go on a first date, defuse a bomb … couldn’t they think of anything Sweetheart didn’t do the last time she visited*?

    * At least, it didn’t go off once she picked it up.

So if she bites off ears either way how do you discern the difference between affection and jealousy? o_O

A difference which makes no difference, is no difference. Like Mr. Max on YouTube, she has “asleep”, and “urge to destroy”…

Wait. This chapter is called The Hundred Dresses?

Calling it now. The Reality Blindness was somehow caused by Tip selling out his principles and trading away his wardrobe.

Eek. Biting ears is one thing, biting them off is going a bit far.

I mean, ear-nibbling is a common show of affection.
