Or he’s pulling the trick that Artie used to pull, the one that eventually got him strapped to something explosive by Mel? Only Alt!Sergio’s doing it from a position of power as opposed to Mouse!Artie.

        …..or this is actually Artie…..

Nope, we saw the Mirror versions of Artie and Sergio at the beginning of the story arc. The person in the iron lung clearly isn’t Artie…though the Sergio-in-the-iron-lung thing could just be a decoy.

A decoy for who, you ask? For Mirror!Unity. If she somehow stayed ‘smart,’ this behavior would be completely consistent with Our!Smart-Unity, who could analyze behavior in a similar manner to Artie and is infuriatingly smug about it. Plus, we know Unity can control animals by sticking her nanobots in them.

Except, apparently Unity ran out of people to keep her straight, and while high on brains she did poison the swamp. Though eventually she became “the Great Unity” a.k.a. the Biomass, which sounds suspiciously like she merged with the swamp. Possibly via the undead hat?

And for the next party trick, a reenactment of Spamalot!

Once I had freedom, but now I’m a slave.
I plan my escape but I can’t be so brave.
I’m trapped and imprisoned in Cal-Tech enclave,
    Enmeshed in maneuvers unclean.

The man that entrapped me was clever,
His power was all in his tongue.
But I have no ease as a flunky and stooge
Of the man in the cast-iron lung.

His motives confusing, his plots are far-flung,
That evil young man in the cast-iron lung.
Improvements disgraceful, his powers have stung,
And my life he has taken away.

—from “The Man on the Flying Trapeze,” which I think I’ve done before, but I can’t remember offhand.

So Alt!Sergio is in opposition to those that restarted Skin-Horse and want them on the payroll, or are they both anti Evil-Unity? Jeff is having fun with red-herrings, but which are which?

Y’know, none of their evil counterparts that we’ve run into so far have been *that* evil…except maybe for Evil Unity who we met at the beginning of the story and haven’t seen since.

If she somehow stayed ‘smart,’ this behavior would be completely consistent with Our! Where did you get this information?
