So apparently Tip had worked as a hairdresser before.

I guess this sort of counts as passing a Turing test….

I wouldn’t be so sure. If Windows 98 had an end-of-the-world button, it’d probably have had 6 confirmations and “this is what would happen! It’s awesome!” messages before you could tell it to definitely NOT blow up the world.

Only sort of, if Tip still knows GODOT is a computer. But it is certainly necessary. In one of the first attempts to conduct the Turing test, the interrogator took Tip’s approach and identified the human without asking a single question.

Gloating, the downfall of so many great mad scientists.
But seriously what’s the point of rulling the world if you can’t gloat about it?

The trick is to rule the world before you start gloating. You have to think like Adrian Veidt to be successful.

The real trick is to rule the world, and no one even notices…. I have been ruling the world for six years now, and only I know about it.

Is it wrong that I just want the dress.

    Damn you Tip!

Judging by the name, no, no it isn’t.

If I did, trust me, it would be.

    (TUNE: “I’m Walking”, Fats Domino)

Not talking … about my plan!
Not squawking … ’cause you’re The Man!
Not talking … although you know I can!

You’re chilling, just do your nails!
    I’m killing! It never fails!
I’m willing … to spill what that entails!

     Everybody’s butt I’m gonna slay!
You just kinda shrug and say “OK”.
If you were to go and ask today,
Here is all the stuff that I would say!

    Not talking! I’m really not!
You’re mocking … my clever plot!
It’s shocking! I’ll show you what I’ve got!

oddly enough, I believe this tactic can also work with cats.

My wife used this tactic when her previous poodle would run away and she was in a hurry to get to the observatory.

When you are devoted to your craft — and if you are not obsessive, you may not be cut out for this kind of work — it can be hard to meet people other than the ones you meet professionally. Just remember to chat and THEN kill, because the reverse doesn’t work, except for necromancers. Watch out for those guys.

… unless your profession is being an evil overload. In that case, GODOT is violating Rule 6.

*overlord*. The typo does have its humorous aspects, though.

There is no one on the side of evil that this trick doesn’t work on.

Does anybody know of a way to prevent it from working on people who are merely on the side of annoying?
I mean, there I am, reading a BOOK (ink on paper, yes) and people feel the irresistible urge to tell me their life stories. I DON’T GIVE A ****!! GO AWAY!!

I wonder if we should be concerned about that capital “D” in “details” in panel 3. G.O.D.O.T. might be leaking something signifigant there, either intentionally or unintentionally.

This is the first strip in which GODOT has emphasized individual letters. The AI has put whole words in a larger font, but that has always seemed to be for normal vocal emphasis. I haven’t found a deeper pattern in the highlighted words yet, but I’m sure this stuff is all deliberate.

GODOT’s also capitalised the S of Seriously in p1. I’m wondering whether these are related to the full-capitalisation of DESTROY earlier, but not sure what the rest of the acronym would be. Details E____ Seriously T____ R____ O____ Y____.

They Y stands for UNITY spelled backwards.

In that first panel I’m imagining GODOT speaking with the voice of Paradox from Bonds Beyond Time Abridged. “My pwan is gweat!”
