Psh, so? Dozens of mad scientists all over the world routinely create clones. The military hasn’t gotten it down yet? Come on, Sal, step up your game a little.
*Some* prion diseases come from consuming the brain. Kuru, notably, has the prions responsible particularly concentrated there, though they are also found in the rest of the body, just at lower levels. Possibly low enough not to trigger the condition, possibly not.
Perhaps more relevantly, kuru has an incubation period long enough (usually 10-13 years, but as little as 5 and as long as 50 have been reported) that these people may functionally not be the US military’s responsibility by the time it manifests.
Oddly appropriate. To me anyways. MREs in Norway are called RSP’s (ReserveStridsProviant = reserve/backup combat provisions). Nicknamed “Rester av Sprengt Personell” (remains/leftovers of exploded/blown-up personnel) or “ReSirkulert Personell” (recycled personnel) – amongst others.
(for instance: “German-in-a-can” – guess which war that was from)

I knew it!
>_<
Soylent Field Rations!
For the record. We taste like pork.
Not bad, a little stringy
Be careful regarding prion disease
Prion disease comes from consuming the brain, but they didn’t include Nick’s brain in those MRE’s because it’s in a tank in the helicopter!

I’m pretty sure art thieves is absolutely a dirty phrase… shame…
Mr. Green probably developed those rations, hence “Soylent Green.”
