Cover as much ground as you can, Sweetheart, before the ground is covering you.

Catchy. A bit morbid, perhaps, but still catchy.

Now this seems more like Sweetheart actually respects Unity’s personal agency and not just that she’s making the effort to show her she does. She’s being honest and telling her that she still doesn’t think it will work and has no interest in it, but respects that Unity wants to help Remy. And most importantly, she’s not thinking about it; it really is just how she feels about it.

I’d read a noir spinoff starring those two as hardboiled detectives.

I guess Shaenon already did the hardboiled thing with ANTONIO SMITH though, huh?

I’m not sure if he was hardboiled as much pulp action brought to life, but you still have a point

Yeah, hardboiled detectives usually cynical anti-heroes dealing with violent organized crime in a scenario where local law enforcement are corrupt.

ANTONIO SMITH! hardly seems to qualify, and would probably tell you himself, given his penchant for accurate language use.

Didn’t Claire Connelly study under ANTONIO SMITH?
