We must find out what we can now,
What’s at the Institute’s root?
I’ve got a much better plan now,
I’ll wear a people-shaped suit!
Oh, yeah!
[CHORUS:]
I need control that’s full! Electrodes in my skull
And then I’ll operate her!
Come on and jam some dull Electrodes in my skull
I’ll take Excedrin later!
That Tigerlily, she reckons
That’s she’d be too freakin’ hot!
She’d melt the works in ten seconds!
With megawatts she is fraught!
(So hot!) [repeat CHORUS]
It’s not so much the two legs as it is the lack of tail that throws us quadrupeds when we get changed into human form. The different center of balance helps the transition from four legs to two, but lacking the tail for counterbalance takes a lot of getting used to, nyao. (At least it did for me…)
Technically insane means not even being in control of their own actions or letting the madness over take them. Dr Lee does crazy things, but she is in control of her own actions and knows what she is doing. She even has safety codes to counter any attempts her creations may do in an attempt to kill her.
Like our funky mad scientist said. “I’m not crazy because I think I am a (insert line). I’m crazy because I don’t care.”
Try taking a look at girl genious for an idea if needed. You see where they act normal and where the “madness” takes control.
Example “We don’t know which of the two is the fake or the real one and both are trying to retake the old castle. One is going straight to the castle while the other one is trying to make a new coffee machine to improve the local coffee.”
“The other one is the real one.”
Smart yes. All the marbles in the right place? Not so much.
So now Sweetheart is going to get to try the human female social experience? (In a body whose previous occupant, at least, Unity has been dating?) The drone has been a surprisingly diverse tool for new experiences and societal contexts.
I’m reminded of the Omnitrix from Ben 10, a shape-shifting tool designed to foster greater interspecies understanding that was instead used as a weapon. Skin Horse is turning the drone from an weapon for espionage into a vehicle for social/personal exploration. Well, by accident, mostly while trying to use it for espionage.
Come to think of it, it’s also the opposite function – the Omnitrix can turn you into any other species (and in practice, it mostly only does that for one specific human). The drone can let any other species/person “turn into” one specific human.
As much as I’m intrigued by the “Sweetheart in Bubbles’ body which is sometimes Nick’s body and used to be Violet Bee’s body” idea, I am completely distracted by Tigerlily’s dress.
Service may be Ms. Cooler’s only joy, but where will she go in the meantime? Do they still have access to her old watercooler? And even if so, going from fully mobile to just another piece of office furniture can’t be good for one’s psyche in the long term.
And I agree with all comments on Tigerlily’s dress.
Hello Nurse!
Definitely,Pam Grier!
(TUNE: “Electric Avenue”, Eddy Grant)
JOY!
JOY!
We must find out what we can now,

So is that a “Service” yes or a “Service” no? o_O
Good question. She could have used more telltale body language.
I read that as a “service is my only joy”. The others’ reactions seem to be appropriate for that.
but how will she walk on 2 legs?
Like most circus dogs, with practice. 🙂
If a water cooler can learn to walk on two legs, a dog can too

I’m sure Artie would agree if you asked him, too.
Eddurd… *sniff* …You’re beautiful.
*blush* Aw, shucks, ’tweren’t nothin’.
Yes more electrodes. And am I the only one who expects the werewolf cure to wear off of Tip?
I assume the works’ll end up melting due to extreme, vigorous friction.
Nah, she just is that mad
Heh heh heh. The next strip will probably feature the wettest electrode-up-the-nose yet.
…Tigerlily is aware of her limitations.
Either she’s the sanest Mad we’ve ever met or she really WAS exposed to the Cure.
For my money, the “sanest Mad we’ve ever met” is Dr Lee; well, either the sanest, or the most brainwashed and/or in denial of her MadSci status…
Nah, Dr. Lee is established to be the maddest Sane we’ve ever met.
Nah, she’s insane; it’s just that her mad quirk is she thinks she’s not.
Technically insane means not even being in control of their own actions or letting the madness over take them. By that logic, Madblood is sane.
Madblood may be the sanest madboy we’ve met. He keeps backups. There’s definitely something wrong there.
She’s not mad. Just disappointed.
Do they let Canadians into the Institute?
Yes, yes, Tigerlily would. I’m a bit surprised Bubbles hasn’t “poinged” a spring with Dr. Jones in that red dress.

I’m surprised Tip hasn’t yet., Berger

I’m iffy about the idea. Suppose, in the course of things, Bubbles doesn’t get it back?
Dr. Lee proved that drone is based on AS tech. She could probably build a new drone body provided the proper components.
If the AI’s in QC are representative – changing chassis doesn’t change the personality – same base person – namely the sum of their experiences.
If only they had a roboticist on their side…
Oh wait.
So glad that Sweetie did ask

I’m sad to see that Sweetheart is NOT exactly quoting Helen, but nevertheless, I think she’ll do well at the Institute.
dat dress
Funny that Sweetheart is so eager to get inside of a body and be human.
And by funny I mean entirely in keeping with a lot of hints in the past.
