    I really hope there’s another level to this, that she isn’t really that stupid. I mean, I can’t imagine someone putting on a worse show if they were trying, so I’m really hoping that’s the case here.

        I was referring to Sweetheart. H.T. obviously knows that she’s fishing, he’s giving her exactly what she wants, and it’s pretty clear that he knows that he’s doing this. The logical conclusion to this is Sweetheart getting eaten once he’s done playing games with her, unless she’s really up to something craftier than walking up to the villain and saying “Wouldn’t it be really nifty if you were the villain?”

          He’s in Bond villain territory. He’s so in love with the anticipation of all the dominoes he’s set up cascading in harmony that he hasn’t even considered that one of them might fall wrong.
