Did the study account for differences in shape, size, and skin texture for different varietals? I’ve got to believe a red delicious would have different aerodynamic properties than a gala, since one has a roughly heart shaped cross section with notable protrusions and smooth skin while the other is an oblate spheroid with rougher skin.
