No, that unexploded nuclear device would never make any difference . . .

In a city of mad scientists, how exactly do you have an unexploded ANYTHING?

If it hasn’t gone off yet, it’s probably not going to.

Maybe it wasn’t unexploded in the sense of “hasn’t exploded yet”, maybe it was unexploded in the sense of “It exploded, but then somebody unexploded it”…

I suspect it’s in reference to the unexploded nuclear device from the earlier arc where Moustachio went evil. Gavotte is wondering if that would’ve gone smoother if she’d’ve told her agents about it beforehand, and if this is a similar situation.

Basic rule of thumb: If you are going to send your people near any nuclear device, whether it is disassembled, unexploded, or simply sitting quietly in an armory; THEY NEED TO KNOW ABOUT IT!

Given who is going to St. Charles, it may not remain “unexploded” for very long.

Good rule of thumb, yes, but not always true when your staff includes Mell… or Unity.

“& and”? Is that an error on panel 2 or am I missing something?

Perhaps Moustachio and Gavotte know what an “And monster” is. Probably something madly duplicative, which is why there’s a lot of them and they’re worth mentioning a possible hazard.

Is an And monster like an Id monster, only more gramaticaly-correct and less in touch with its true nature?

Interesting that you misspelled “grammatically” and hyphenated “grammatically-correct” – neither one of which is grammatically correct.

    (TUNE: “Ghetto Supastar”, Pras)

    [CHORUS:]
    Spell “MOUSTACHIO”!
    There’s a way, I know!
    M-O-U-S-T-
    A-C-H-I-O!
    Make a backronym
    That applies to him!
Because we don’t need that A.I., GODOT!
    At least I hope there’s a way, I dunno!

    [rapping with British accent]
In the D. of C. we help secretly,
We have fun by the ton here in Annex One,
We arbitrate mutants who are legal disputants,
We fight for their rights, working days and nights!
All these we must please, so says the swarm of bees
Who runs Project Skin Horse, and we obey, of course.
Now dear Miss Sweetheart, she now must depart
Along with Unity, who fights with impunity
Beside Master Tip, they’re off on a trip
Aboard Master Nicholas, but there’s a trick, alas!
Mad genius throng! Five thousand strong!
But with a nuclear bomb, what could possible go wrong?
      [repeat CHORUS}

It’s a good thing the typist who created the name wasn’t having an off day and made Moustachio Skilled in Thoreau Assassination, though you could probably make an entire webcomic series out of it.

CSI to most people refer corner’s offices. To meteorologists, it’s Convective Stability Index, and it basically tells us how far up in the atmosphere thunderstorms will be able to grow vertically. The higher and deeper the index, the more likely the storms will have powerful downdrafts, tornadoes and hail.

And there’s CAPE, Convective Available Potential Energy, which does the same thing as CSI, but is more designed for thunderstorms.

…They tried to have GODOT figure out what U.N.I.T.Y. stood for, didn’t they?
And now he’s figured it out. Which is why Skin Horse is being sent. Because UNITY needs to learn what her name is.
