Burn the theme park ride down Nick! It’s good therapy. Start at puppets, graduate to theme park rides. I am rooting for this, even if it is only virtual.

I want to get off Baron Mistycorn’s wild ride.
(No, seriously, is this anything else than a complete waste of time for Nick (and the reader) since the Baron didn’t see anything?)

Dr Collodi and the Old War is super relevant, but this is feels a non-sequitur way of getting into it, yeah.

Have faith, Theris! You can rest assured there’s a wild payoff in the wings!

I very much fear that Dewey is correct, and Aimee is in thrall to Lovelace! Remember when Nick arrived and Aimee started to implore his help?

I wondered whether Aimee and Lovelace had become unlikely friends or if Aimee was using The Crown on Lovelace (even more unlikely). But it never occurred to me that Baron might be hiding from a Lovelace coup!

      Aha! Found one!
You’ll be pleased to hear, Theris, that the Baron Mistycorn plot has ended. Shaenon took your feedback to heart.
It came at the cost of the entire rest of the comic and everybody else’s enjoyment, apparently including the artist herself, but I’m sure that’s minor collateral damage from your perspective.

We found the coolest thing with Pong was when you set the paddles so that the ball would bounce between them without moving them again.

Ah, nothing like Mad Science, creating something that depends on a concept that hasn’t even been invented yet XD

I think Jay is onto something. Not necessarily that it will get into the Old War, but that Baron has some necessary information buried in his subconscious that will come out as part of the ride. Whether it’s obvious or subtle is yet to be seen.

Two words for you video game whippersnappers who believe life didn’t exist before Video games.

    Pinball Wizard.

I was gonna point out that Tommy came out after Pong, but the album did come out first, just not the movie.

I like how Aimee is entertaining herself by critiquing the technical aspects of the ride, like a true Whimsy princess. Hey, if you don’t like the picture, watch the pixels.

Reminds me of a lesser known Jedi Mind Trick, “Pay no mind to this sentence. These aren’t the words you’re looking for.”

I wonder whether the video game tidbit is true. It might be Baron rewriting history.

Panel 3 is just laugh our loud funny. Writing, art, it is all perfect.
