Now, now – don’t be so negative! Sweetheart is relying on her instincts! It is entirely possible that Niue has never heard these lines before and considers interest expressed in herself the most worthy of scintillating conversation!
My concern is for Unity, who appears to be leaking nanobots all over the control console… Uh-oh…
Picture Unity’s ‘bots finding their way into Nick’s brain jar (or whatever you’d call it). Picture a Unity/Nick like we had a Unity/Virginia. I kind of want to see it. Kind of.
If smart UNITY were here to see her tech fail during Sweetheart’s date, she would be shocked and horrified, maybe. But Sweetheart is on the ropes too early, there is too much time to come from behind.
I’m not so sure she’d be shocked so much as she’d be ticked off. I don’t think the problem is with the tech. I think the problem is with Sweetheart. She seems to lack the necessary focus to function properly. After all, Mr. Green (at least we were led to believe it was Mr. Green) operated the Violet drone for a lot longer than Sweetheart managed, with hardly any problems. And of course, Nick operated it for days without crashing.
Dr. Lee: “Good news! I’m found the problem – it seems the drones were originally designed strictly for human use – no provision for the differently brained.”
Sweetheart: “Can you do anything about it?”
Dr. Lee: “Sure! I’ll just need to open up your skull to accurately map your neural architecture.”
Sweetheart: “…”
Dr. Lee: “You’re giving me the look. Why are you giving me the look?”
(By the way, GoComics added another irritating feature this morning—a big logo of the comic. Besides the space it takes up, well, don’t we know what comic we’re clicking on and reading already?)
((No big thing here—I just wanted a place to vent.))
I guess I don’t see much of a difference. The colour logo is on the left side where the comic title was already, so it doesn’t change the size of the comic. What bugs me about their new “improved” design is the absence of the zoom button to make the comic fill the screen.
(Actually, there has been a myriad of things that bug me about their new design, but that’s the main one pertaining to space and size.)
Hammers do not “exist” in hammerspace. They only exist in real space when they are drawn from hammerspace. It’s all very scientific, and I’d need to be Unity-on-brains to be able to explain it.
The Hindenberg is now in flames and headed earthward.
The train is on the edge of Shonash Ravine…
You mean Clayton– You mean Eastwood– You know what? just get the Delorean
Rosencratz and Gildestern are on their way to the castle.
But don’t worry! The coin is always coming up heads. That’s a good sign, right? ^_^

My concern is for Nick, who now has several nail holes in the console…
…not to mention those leaking nanobots getting all over the place.
Good point.

I want to see this now.
I wonder if perhaps Smart Unity deliberately sabotaged it because she thought it dishonest.
I’m wondering if the problem is all the holes in the circuitry Normal Unity just put in it. And if she did it on Smart Unity’s subconscious behalf.
Tip’s reaction is wrong; it should be “Wow, you made it three minutes!”
This!
Yeah, that’s at least a minute longer than usual.
Ha ha – nailed it!
To be fair, three minutes can be an awful long time… if you’re waiting for an elevator
Use the other end of the hammer, Unity.

Those must be some -long- nails!
I’ve got some 12 inch landscape spikes that would do the job nicely.
Nick is going to make U.N.I.T.Y. pay for the repairs to his console, I know it. I’m amazed he let her in with carpentry tools in the first place.
Hammers in hammerspace are hard to detect…
