    For some reason, I’m thinking there is to be a “Pay no mind to the person behind the curtain” moment coming up…

      I’m getting more of an “Awards Ceremony” vibe.

        Does this means Pavane will be handing out all sorts of awards to the gang?

    I just have to commend Shaenon and Pancha for their exquisite rendering of Pavane!

    A swarm of bees in humanoid shape has got to be even tougher to pull off than bicycles – yet somehow even Pavane has been given body language!

      With tiny little boobees. {grin/duck/run}

      Shaenon has always been excellent at body language. I’m still impressed by the Narbonic strip where there were three different characters who had been turned into Dave, and you could tell who was who just by how they stood.

        Plus the strip where a single panel of Dave-turned-into-Helen is recognisable by the slouch.

          Plus the one where Dave and Helen eye Artie’s brand, new, gene-spliced body up and down.

    If Sweetheart shepherded, does that mean she’s a sheepdog?

      Yes, buncha sheep!

    Sweetheart has changed, but not by all that much.

    manipulative promises and fatuous praise… no way i would get on board that cattle car. this looks like a “to serve man” moment.

    In shepherding them through hard times, Sweetheart made it to Alpha Dog Prime. But praises and titles are phases and trifles, and she beat it the boss paradigm.

    Oh, I think you are right on the dot. Shaenon & Jeff are settling the bill on numerous long-awaited Oz references.

    Tip’s emergence in Magical Girl uniform, an award for Sweetheart, perhaps a diploma is in the works for Moustachio and Hitty?

      That appeared at the bottom of the page, but was intended as a reply to David Palmer above.

    Love how an entire swarm is given character in how she’s drawn, here
