(TUNE: “I Feel Pretty” from West Side Story, Bernstein & Sondheim)
I am Hitty!
My name’s Hitty!
I’m not witty, but pretty am I!
Akron city
Locked me up, and lost the key, bye-bye!
Here’s my hammer,
My foe-slammer …
With my hammer, for glamor I’m groomed!
Please don’t stammer
When you realize that you are doomed!
See the robots fighting each other there,
‘Til there’s only one who’s not dead …
Some will use their jaws,
Some will use their claws,
I, without a pause,
Bash ’em on the head!
Come to Hitty!
Come, have pity!
Sing this ditty with Hitty! (That’s me!)
You’re so brave!
I give hugs and kisses for free!
Yeah, Hitty really looks like his old body. I think the picture of Mustachio’s rampage even shows him with nigh-identical treads. I have no clue how he managed to cause as much destruction as he did, though, considering that he didn’t have any weapons at all, from the looks of it.
This just reminds me that Hitty is designed just like one of the two robot types that always used to win BattleBots. At least he’s not a rotating circular blade that’s built low to the ground.
Speaking of which, after having looked it up yesterday, I’m kind of surprised that no BattleBots design featured some sort of circular flipper, with flipping “arms” all around a base. Not to put all too fine a point on it, with such a design, you approach it, it flips you over it and then it starts to play pinball with you.
…
I wonder if a well-designed pinball-shaped bot could use the hazards to throw itself onto other bots.
Anyway, I think Mustachio’s advantage here is that he is small and any bots will probably go after the bigger targets first, probably crippling themselves in the process.
Oh yeah, I remember battlebots! I used to watch it as a little kid with my dad! After looking it up just now I read that Bill Nye was the technical expert, I had no idea! I watched his show too!
Even though he’s madtech, he retains enough self-awareness to know when he’s outmatched and outnumbered. This is a trait that should be preserved. Shame that Mustachio is here..
He called the other robot madame, does that mean hitty’s a woman?
What is more, does this mean she’s (sunglasses) HITTING on him?
Now that you mention it, I believe that “Hitty” is, in fact, a feminine name.
Well that makes me feel better that I read “You have broken drive spring I fix” in the voice of Nurse Nina from BL:TPS

At least “M” isn’t hammered!
Reeeally missing his circa 1851 body now…
If they join forces, he’ll have the equivalent of his old body, plus a usable weapon and tractor treads.

Well, if they look that much alike, maybe they’re brother and sister…

Does “M” have a pen? He does have words, which can be more powerful than any of the devices we’ve seen in the tournament so far.
Yeah, I’m expecting M to unite the battlebots against their captors.
With him, of course, as the “head” robot.
The pen is mightier than the sword, but the hammer can break the world.
OK, have I seriously been reading Skin Horse for over five years without noticing what the comic URLs are doing? What else have I been missing?

for where someone has been doing the favour of putting the story in the file names together.
