I said it before…. is this the first we’ve heard of CS? Have we had this theory of ours verified? Have we had any agents with initials that *don’t* follow this? Have we met Papa Julliett yet?
Hmmm….. I’m not sure I’d say they are the same *era* as the Oz canon. … But I’m nitpicking. They are all classic childrens authors who oddly go by two initials. I’m expecting Papa Lima (P.L. Travers) any moment now….. And of course Julliett Mike and Julliett Kilo… And I *guess* I have to accept Romeo Limo if I absolutely must..
“Nuclear Device” is oddly and dangerously non-specific. Charlie Sierra could just parachute a BioBeam 8000 gamma irradiator with a thing on top that tells the time into say Allentown, and have properly carried out his orders. And have demonstrated about the level of competence expected from minions in his organization, so probably reasonably safe from extirpation. What exactly are C.S.’s motives here?
Attacking the Cypress, the sentient bio-mass in Pennsylvania. Sending high levels of gamma radiation into a sentient and hostile swamp mass. Not a thing could go wrong with Ira/Mr. Green’s plans there. Nope. Pretty foolproof idea there….
I had a co-worker with a relative who was a veterinarian living in Port Hardy. Which was really a long way away. But if a pet got sick they kept things in the family, as in “I guess we’ll have to send the cat to Port Hardy.” This always came across to me as “…to Davey Jones”.
The mission made EB quite nervous
As “will to survive” fought with “service”
‘Twas a question quite dire
Until nuclear fire
Made him think, “Pennsylvania? Screw this!”
AA, EB and CS
hmm

By the way… does anyone here do the Wall Street Journal Friday Crossword puzzle and does anyone here remember the NK Jamisen puzzle three weeks ago.
No, but it’s spelled Jemisin.
Good catch.
I don’t understand the reference. 🙁 Would anyone be so kind as to explain?
They’re all the initials of famous authors – A.A. Milne, E.B. White and C.S. Lewis – plus similar era and target audience to the Oz canon in general

I wonder if Juliet Romeo Romeo will be the boss mook for this evil organization.
Robert Lionel Fanthorpe?
Ohh, I see. Thank you! I’m bad with initials and names in general.
If Lima Foxtrot shows up…
You RUN.
Lima Foxtrot has already shown up. He’s been here since the beginning… and he just ordered that PN be nuked.
I’m not sure I’m getting the L.F. author reference. Unless you mean Lyman Frank himself. But he didn’t go by two initials…..
What do you pack for Kansas?
A gun?
Several cans of Tornado Repellent.
An inflatable hill. If you get more than 10 feet above the corn, you can see things coming at you for miles.
Western Kansas is actually very hilly, which I remember well from having to navigate to Lawrence by bicycle.
I’m not awake yet, of course I mean EASTERN Kansas.
I was going to say, having seen Eastern Colorado, I had my doubts.
Enough gas to get you to Oklahoma.
A swift extirpation will warm your feet RIGHT up!

Incredible Swamp smash 😉
“This is John Cameron Swayze in the skies above Pennsylvania, where we’ve strapped a Timex watch to this nuclear device…”
“Wahoo! Waawaahaa! Wawahoo!”
BOOM! And we hear the frantic chatter of a Geiger counter, and a distinct sound of “ticktickticktick…”
“I’m packed for Kansas” sounds like a T shirt.

E. B. wants re-assignation. He’d rather have some other station. His feet are like ice, but a nuclear device puts him back in the A-Sigma nation.
VERY NICE :applause:

Mr. Green has obviously read about motivating employees, but never liked the current theories.
