I feel like Unity and Sweetheart are the Helen and Dave of Skin Horse. I’m curious what will happen once Sweetheart breaks through her own denial barrier.
Especially since A) it worked on ghostbusters, B) I’m pretty sure there was a colander version somewhere in the Narbonic run – probably during the ‘adrift in time’ or the ‘madblood’s arctic base’ segments.
Figuring that Smart Unity is functionally a Mad Genius, I’d say it almost certainly is!
(My reasoning? Well, if Smart Unity can design a neural interface single-handed, she’s certainly a genius-level intelect. As for the Mad part – c’mon, could you really describe Unity, Smart or otherwise, as sane?)
To be fair Smart unity isn’t that great either. She would have killed plant monster to keep things in her calculations while regular UNITY managed to win the monster over and get the town some nifty pets while she got a nifty drink.

a real rampag, WITH THE RUINS OF FLOWERBEDS IN HER WAKE
So Helen’s a dog and Dave has Mel’s brain?
If that’s true, can I have Mell’s body? We could happily have a purely physical relationship, nyao. I’m not that picky…
“Ghoulfriend” is insensitive to the differently vital, Nick.
Nick’s probably just been watching lots of Monster High webisodes and the puns are slipping into his speech without his realizing it.
Listen, if he can’t swear then at least he can be offensive. Let him have that much, at least…
😀
How often does Unity get the chance to get high on brains?
Too often, or not often enough, depending on your point of view.
She’s got a point there, Nick
Why does that hat look like a colander with wires?
How do you know it’s not?

Also, it may be “Smart UNITY,” but it’s still UNITY. Why *wouldn’t* she make a neural interface out of a colander and some wires if she *could*?
It’s a “Keep On Trucking” baseball-style cap.

Considering what we’ve seen of Brainity, she’s almost too sane.
There are different flavors of mad…
That’s probably the understatement of the decade.

Let’s go! Pick up the pace!
Switch on the neural interface!
Unity’s too smart for me …
She messes up the vibe of roomie!
High on brains, she built this hat,
A hat that’s phat, in nothing flat!
Can’t keep up, she strains my brains …
It doesn’t jibe, the vibe of roomie!
Now the drone, I’m gonna drive …
It’s running on Android OS 4.5!
And when homeward I come, hope that Unity’s dumb
To give the proper vibe of roomie!
To be fair Smart unity isn’t that great either. She would have killed plant monster to keep things in her calculations while regular UNITY managed to win the monster over and get the town some nifty pets while she got a nifty drink.
Thank you for reminding us that being smart isn’t all it’s cracked up to be.
…and the penny drops.
Anybody know why she has to be in Nick while she does this?
Aside from his systems probably being the best computers in 20 miles.
Because Smart Unity made that device using his VR hardware.
They would also need, y’know, a lot of disposable brains to do that.
