A Good Man (er, Rat) Is Hard To Find

    Brains
    Heart
    Courage
    Humor
    Wealth
    Style

    Pick any three…

What’s the difference between “Heart” and “Courage”? Is heart here supposed to be more like “Compassion” or “Tenderness” or “Sensitivity”?

Yes. Heart = Tin Woodsman, of course 😉

Look buddy, your car was upside down when we got here. And as for your grandmother, she shouldn’t have mouthed off like that.

I never thought I would see the day when Echo Bravo became the voice of sanity and common sense? ^_^

I find that sanity and common sense are somewhat relative in the Narboniverse.

Technically, being dead doesn’t preclude Valiant from forgiving her. A dying character going to their grave forgiving their killer is actually a rather old trope.

Also, is it really the voice of sanity and common sense when what you’re really doing is defending murdering someone without just cause?

… and let us not forget the possibility of zombie rat ITs.

Yes, indeed! Quite right, abashed that I missed that.

At this point, I think EB and AA are just playing catch with the idiot ball.

Gosh, I really hope Alfa and Valiant kiss before this storyline is over.

… *how*? I mean rats have faces that are completely the wrong shape to kiss anything.

… I really hope Valiant gives Alfa a nice play nibble before this storyline is over. And perhaps a bit of a groom.

There’s a lotta getting together despite long odds against it ’round here. Nick and Virginia got it on, didn’t they?

“Ratty McRatterson” is a slightly better choice than “Ratty McRatface”, I guess.

It doesn’t look like Rathilde McRatchild would have fit the balloon.

I have to wonder if Alfa is also a fan of the torrid Goblin Romance novels – this seems like something that might occur in those.

So Alfa, Sweetheart and Unity have something in common?

I’m going to go out on a limb, and say that Alfa Alfa wrote a lot of fanfiction and (bad) poetry in her teenage years.

I wrote bad poetry in my teens, but no fanfic until I was in my late thirties.

I contented myself rewriting each episode of “Buffy the Vampire Slayer” in my head…

The practice of putting it down on paper as a discipline would promote organizing skills and coherency.

…on the other hand, keeping it in your head leaves no damning evidence.

If I had ever rewritten Buffy episodes, it would only have been so I was the one doing it with Spike.

And dotted her i’s with little dots, wrote XOXOXOX at the bottom of all her letters, and read the *good*, pre-woke Archie Comics, and had a kitten with a pink bow around its neck…
      Sorry, sister flashback…!

Considering there’s actually such a thing as Rats of Nimh self-insertion fanfiction, yeah she probably did
