Snake pajamas.
Snake. Pajamas.
Pajama. In the same way that a snake wears a pant.
Doesn’t the knitted cap count as a separate piece?
You mean you don’t have a snake cozy?
It’s probably a nightshirt anyway. Pyjama implies leg(s).
To be fair, Alfie is kinda like one long leg, so pyjama works just as well as anything else. And I’ve always seen “pyjamas” used pretty generically to mean sleep pants (or shorts), a nightgown, or anything in between.
You say pyjamas. I say pajamas.
“Britain and America are two nations divided by a common language.” — George Bernard Shaw maybe
pyjama (esp. Brit.), pajama < Hindi < Persian pāy (leg) + jāma (garment)
(And here I was just riffing on a Gershwin tune. I’m always learning something from these comments.)
You say Carmina, I say Burana,
let’s call the whole thing Orff
Yeah, I caught the song reference.
And actually, I usually spell it “pajama” as well, but since I was responding to a comment that spelled it “pyjama”, I simply followed suit.
This is Alfie’s best outfit yet.
In Alfie’s defense, he might actually be screaming in annoyance. Some of the zombies might think it’s funny to quote NotLD after lights out.
I don’t doubt there’s both fear and annoyance in that scream.
“…and Mamma in her ‘kerchief, and I in my cap, had just settled our brains for a long winter’s nap…”
Alfie looks a bit like Lowly Worm in this.
