Now I think of it, Marcie wasn’t in on what happened to the Beni device after Chris disarmed it, and she wasn’t there when the Victor device was delivered to Gavotte. So I guess she didn’t know that they were being stored in the Skin Horse safe, and hadn’t been removed even after Skin Horse left.
The road, the books, the nail on the head, it off, the airwaves, the spot, and finally the sack, in that order.
(By which I mean she’s going to leave on a journey of self discovery, teach herself how to play guitar, discover a latent genius talent for music, impress a big shot record executive, land a lucrative radio contract, become the most famous and beloved rock star of all time, and then have well deserved nap.)
I think in “Ginger Sister’s” case it ‘s not madness.
Considering the results of her irradiation experiments it may be more like a control of improbability.
I haven’t specifically looked for it, but I don’t recall having seen any indication that Marcie can even comprehend Mad science, much less be able to achieve the impossible. She’s not even just regular insane – she just likes bombarding miscellaneous objects with intense radiation, just to see what happens. And while it’s just as likely that this was random, it’s also possible that Hitty chose to give them to Marcie, knowing that she works with radiation. Besides, she doesn’t need to be Mad to be the ruling authority on the subject. Tigerlily has next-to-no experience with nuclear nuclear power, while Marcie and Chris have more experience than, well, pretty much anyone else on the planet, with pretty much any kind of radiation.
You mean “ginger sister”? Are you also a petite redheaded lady nuclear scientist?
It’s a little tough to say what she would or wouldn’t mind. After all, she dated Tip, and then dropped him like a sack of potatoes once Chris declared his interest.
Whether or not he can only call them pie, yes, Moustachio is the one who called it fusion pie. Since he said “initializing prevarication”, it can be assumed that he is not programmed to call it “pie”, but rather did so intentionally.
Also, see my link above for the recipe for Moustachio’s Fusion Pie. It looks delicious.
I love Hitty.
We all do.
That appears to be two of the three reactors we’ve seen before?
Technically, it’s all three, since the third one is powering Hitty.
Things are falling together.
Literally, in some cases.

The Department of Irradiation to the rescue!
When life hands you fusion reactors, make fusion pie!
I wonder if they’ll need the third reactor…
They can just hook up Hitty/Moustachio as the pilot.
1st thought-*Phew!* They won’t have to disembowel Hitty!
2nd thought-A titanic robot with controlled by Hitty? Oh cripes!
Urlance Woolsbane: I was expecting a titanic robot controlled by Tigerlily Jones, so I’m quite sanguine about the prospect of Hitty becoming involved.
But what is Hitty going to hit?
The road, the books, the nail on the head, it off, the airwaves, the spot, and finally the sack, in that order.

Is it better to be lucky or smart?
Either way, they have it covered.
I guess Ginny isn’t the only scientist kidding herself about being sane. ^_~

Marcie doesn’t *mind* being called “my ginger friend,” does she? I would.

Refresh my memory- if Hitty can call them nuclear reactors, who was the robot who can only call them pie? Mustachio?

Moustachio’s prevarication appears to have permanently affected his vocabulary.
There was a later bit in which he said something along the lines that he wanted to call it a pie. I forget when that was, though.
Here.
A whack idea I’ve been contemplating since the Harvey Wallbangers strip . . .
Hitty: OK, WALLBANGERS SERVED NOW
[Hits wall with considerable force a couple of times]
Wall: BONG! BONG!
Hitty: SORRY THAT MORE OF A BONG
Anyone present: What was that?
Hitty: HARDENED ARMORED HULL PLATING. HITTY KNOW SOUND VERY WELL.
Hitty: HM
[Hits floor a couple of times]
Floor: BONG! BONG!
Hitty: SEE, THAT HARDENED ARMORED DECK PLATING. DIFFERENT HARMONICS.
After an archive binge: Gavotte predicted this something like 6 years ago real world time.
Good thing those are stable reactors, or tossing them around like that could be a problem.
