And now, looking at it again, I’m wondering if Unity’s foot-faced Abomination wasn’t also part of her dream. We only saw it once, and no one’s mentioned it in-comic since Unity’s dream. Maybe the readers are only keeping it “alive” by talking about it in the comments.
Ah yes, Engineering.
Applied Science at the behest of those who don’t know Science from Magic, don’t know that Time is Finite, and don’t know a budget from their Behind.
Just what I was going to point out! You do rarely see such consideration from the monstrous hordes, they really should be commended for going that extra mile.
That picture on the wall. Have we seen it before, in some other story arc? All I could find was the demotivating motivational poster that drove Sweetheart round the bend in the VR Institute, but it’s not the same picture.
So I don’t know if anybody’s guessed this but I’m throwing my hat in for who’s behind this… I’m guessing unity got a little trinity in her goo and trinity took over the ball of leftover limbs and has been attacking the zombies to get the parts she needed that weren’t part of the ball.
Now would be a good time for Tigerlily to show up with a coat-hanger tech veeblefetzer.
I was thinking it would be cool for helicopter-Nick to show up and just lift the whole science hut off the ground.
The Science Hut burned down. Thought they were in a hotel room somewhere on Bad Island.
I was under the impression that the science hut burning was part of Unity’s dream.
I thought the science hut was part of Unity’s dream.
Hmm… looking back, you may be right.
And now, looking at it again, I’m wondering if Unity’s foot-faced Abomination wasn’t also part of her dream. We only saw it once, and no one’s mentioned it in-comic since Unity’s dream. Maybe the readers are only keeping it “alive” by talking about it in the comments.
Veeblefetzers are prone to cracking, though…
Veeblefetzers are prone to a lot of problems. Pesky little things.
“Here’s your software all ready”
“How do I close it?”
“That wasn’t in the specifications!”
This reminds me of a song:
Ah yes good song, good song. I’ve never seen that video for it actually. It was neat.
Now you know how engineers feel, Dr. Lee. All the time.
Ah yes, Engineering.
Applied Science at the behest of those who don’t know Science from Magic, don’t know that Time is Finite, and don’t know a budget from their Behind.
At least they’re a *polite* angry zombie horde! Let’s give them that.
+1

Indeed! I believe Queen Elena deserves much credit here for the gentility of her zombie horde.
Ah yes, the dreaded feature creep. Prompted, in this case, by the dreaded creature creep.
I tried to fit in a feeping creaturism reference here but failed.
Yeah. You build something for the gubmint, they want changes and more features, even after you’ve started building the hardware.
It’s not just the gubmint – pretty much everyone does that, as far as I can tell.
I did hear that Lockheed found it easier working with the CIA on spy planes. They told them what they wanted and refrained from feature creep.
…never realised Virginia was being paid for her work. By whom? Skin Horse is a rogue entity now.
I think she’s being paid by Nick… and not in cash.
…the wages of sin?
Heh. Cute. But I think it should probably be “to order”. The issue is the customer, not the money.
Isn’t the term for that “Dynamic specification”?
They seem a pretty calm zombie horde for an angry zombie horde…
That’s the zombie receptionist informing them of the arrival of the other zombies.
It’s always the second referee!
“Excuse me, there’s a zombie horde here to eat you.”
“Hold them off as long as you can while I formulate an escape plan for us.”
“See, the thing is, they’re in your waiting room.”
“You let them in?!”
“Well, they were so polite about it.”
That picture on the wall. Have we seen it before, in some other story arc? All I could find was the demotivating motivational poster that drove Sweetheart round the bend in the VR Institute, but it’s not the same picture.
Hard to say.
It seems to be one of those newfangled electronic picture displays, since it changed between panel one to panel four.
I assumed it was a window, and we’re seeing the sunrise.

But what about the dreams? They started before then.
Great Cthulhu.
