Jonah’s referred to his post-Choose abilities as visions for a while now, the implication being that they faded from actively resetting to being able to glimpse possible futures or near timelines.
Narratively I’m not really sure there’s a reason to challenge that phrasing, especially since he wasn’t especially shy about talking about dying and resetting.
Maybe, but he’s also been a little bit clairvoyant since the end of Choose (either that or he never quite lost the resets, but from a perspective outside of his head that’s functionally close enough).
It’s really foggy! Visibility is under a minute! He couldn’t tell the right thing to do until it was practically time to do it. That’s hardly a safe way to go through life.
They do like throwing in the occasional H2G2 reference. Like the sign in the basement of Annex 1 that said “Beware of the Leopard”, or Mell asking Helen “Should we tell Dave he’s been doing six impossible things before breakfast?” (granted, that one was originally from the Queen in Through the Looking Glass, but it was also in H2G2)
And Jonah strolls away to the tune of his theme song “I Got the Power”. Okay, I only know that one from that bit in Bruce’s Almighty, but it seems appropriate. And as tricky as normal Wi-Fi maintenance is, what’s Anasigma’s gonna be like?
“Goodnight, Shalonda Jones, wherever you are!”
That’s just not fair. I’m not sure Jonah and Nera constitute a level appropriate encounter for a Mr. Green no longer armed with the Gate.
But what about for a Mr. Green with the wrench in the conservatory?
Does he have a TV in every room?
Bet he’d be pretty serene if he did, no?
That’d be a pretty cool power to have, but I wouldn’t want to go thru what he did to get it.
Yeah. I’m almost afraid to ask how many times he had to die to get that one piece of info.
Damn it, I missed a perfect chance to use the “Many Jonahs died to get us this information” line.

Looks like he was in the right position to see her computer screen and read the information for an upcoming appointment.

Yes, but he just got through saying the other day that his second sight is looking a mite foggy.

Maybe we just don’t get to see all the trips back to shoe care anymore. Thank god!
“Relax, Nera, I’ve done this so often I could do this in my sleep. In fact, I’m pretty sure I have a few times through.”
He’s tilting his head the wrong way to be reading her screen.
ZZ90…. could that have a hidden meaning?
It made me think of ZZ9 Plural-Z Alpha.
“What does the Z mean?”
“Which one?”
“Any one.”
