And the Chekov’s Abomination lumbered off into the distance, biding its time until the final act when it saves our heroes and the zombie population of Florida . . .
I never thought I’d say this, but thank goodness for reality blindness, it will keep the civilian panic down to a minimum, with most assuming those who see it were drinking moonshine. (To be fair, they might be.)
Yeah, I always feel that binge-reading is kind of like jumping of a cliff with a rope around your ankle. Catching up is the sudden stop when you run out of rope. Then you just dangle there, waiting for the rope to be let out a day at a time. Sure, you can climb back up and jump again (I, personally, have read through Skin Horse well over 100 times), but there’s always that sudden stop when you reach the last page.
Awgiedawgie, I *thought* I’d binged my way through the archives, but I still occasionally run across a strip I don’t recall. Has that ever happened to you?
I don’t even get a sense of deja vu’, which happens to me in daily life occasionally. Am I reading scenes from the Alternate Gate?
Only once that I recall, and that’s a glitch in the site (which @NamesAreSilly just discovered on Thursday).
The comic that shows up if you’re navigating forward page by page and you go from 2013-03-17 to 2013-03-18 is actually the comic for the 4th, but still doesn’t show up when you navigate forward from the 3rd (it jumps from the 3rd to the 5th). The only way to see the actual comic for the 18th is to go forward to the 19th, and then backward to the 18th again.
Foot face. Heh
And now she’s talking as if it was a separate entity. I can’t help but imagine it wandering the land in search of a mouth, so it can bite things…
It should go make friends with Foot.
If it lumbered off, then Ms. Garrity won’t have to draw it again. Looks worse than bicycles.
“I Have No Mouth, and I Must Nom”
Harlan would be pleased with that reference!
Well, Sweetheart insulted her.

“Now, that was the ugliest dog I ever did see.”
“Dog? That was clearly the ugliest _hog_ we ever saw.”
(Argument breaks out)
Wait, I caught up? Frell…

Sweetheart: At least it’s the realm of impending messes without paperwork!
Joy!
But Sweetheart loves the paperwork!
Not Joy!
Service!
“Pull yourself together” out of several other peoples’ worth of raw material.
Wait… Sweetheart and Unity are dating? Where did I miss that?
More to the point, how could you miss that?
Perhaps Xerxes’ world-line converged on ours and he read a different Skin Horse version than we have?
More to the point, Xerxes, how long will you retain any memory of a history which differs from ours?
Now I want to read that version of Skin Horse. The question is how?
A person can mature but she’ll always stay true to her fundamental nature. Always be yourself, Unity.
Are the cats in question the six-toed Hemingway cats?
The Polydactyls have always been regarded as something special. It would not surprise me if that extended into the supernatural realm.
All cats embrace quantum weirdness. Hemingways keep one foot in the supernatural.
Could also be Leo.
Foot-face reminded me of the works of Michael Rees, who’s done multi-limbed sculptures and short videos like this:
Last time I saw something like that, it had Arnold Rimmer’s face on it… several, in fact.
Wait “lumbered off”? It’s just going to pop up somewhere?
