> Nick is already familiar with “Violet”‘s systems
> Dr Lee is not only one of the most qualified people to connect Nick to “Violet”, she would also be the most sane one.
> there is a whole building of specialists below their feet (and paws and wheels) to provide support in an emergency
Violet wouldn’t have to fly the helicopter the “normal” way. As long as there is an interface to connect Violet’s body to the helicopter’s systems, it would work just as if Nick’s brain were still in the jar.
Never mind the explosive devices. Those could come in handy someday. Anasigma is the kind of corporate entity that would put more interesting landmines in their robots. Backdoors into the memory and limb controls, hidden wireless modems so they can get into the drone, or use the drone to get into other systems . . .
There seems to be some weird synchronicity between this and Shortpacked!’s current story. Over there, a (non-gender-identifying) talking car was just put into a robot girl body. Now, here, a (male-identifying?) talking helicopter is going to be put into a robot girl body. Admittedly, Nick was human first, while Ultra Car was not, but Nick has said he identifies as a copter now.
I love the third panel. Dr. Lee doesn’t even seem to realize the potential slight against Nick, and yet she still flips it around into a crowning compliment.
If Violet had been a Brobot instead of a Fembot, I’d put them hooking up at a week. The Fembot body complicates matters a bit…
Conservative, by his general actions. He didn’t wear a yarmulke while still human, but he did keep kosher and uses a lot of Yiddish when he’s not swearing. Judging by the length and syntax of some of his filter words, he may be using it while swearing too.
Well… They’re aware that “Violet” was already controlled by a man so…
Unless I understood something wrong somewhere.
Which is always highly probable.
Other than the fact that we don’t actually know who or what “Mr. Green” is, so you’re only assuming that it’s a man.
I mean, they did *say* they were a man while in the laser-prison talking to Tip.
And there are plenty of creepy men on the internet who say they are women. Taking Green at “his” word is foolish at best.
so,

> Dr Lee is not only one of the most qualified people to connect Nick to “Violet”, she would also be the most sane one.

What Could Possibly Go Wrong?
:-p
Looks like Nick might get a chance to show Virginia just how skilled an operator he is.
You should put a spoiler alert on that comment, since it doesn’t occur until late 2019, in real time.
Since his comment was made way back in 2013, you really can’t call it a spoiler.
Yours, on the other hand, IS a spoiler, because it confirms it.
Do you really think anyone reads these comments after the day they’re posted?
Hello!
Yes, absolutely, and you’ve spoiled several things for me.
You mean apart from all the people reading through for the first time?
Yeah.
Violet doesn’t have a profanity filter, does she?
I’m waiting for the inevitable hilarity as Violet-Nick tries to fly helicopter-Nick the “normal way,” and fails.

Nick will be piloting Violet’s body by remote, just as Mr. Green was. His brain will still be in the Osprey.
But it would be hilarious for him to be piloting the pilot manually piloting his body instead of just controlling his body directly for some reason.
…
Have they removed Violet’s explosive devices yet?

Violet’s body could somehow be jewish Nick. How can you tell?
He really shouldn’t judge a gynoid mech drone by her appearance. Maybe she had a bot mitzvah.
Oy gevalt! He’ll be his own Golem!
(TUNE: “Smooth Operator”, Sade)
Doc agrees, I concur …
I want walk, and move, and talk, and sit by her!
Hands to hold, lips to touch,
Can we suck face? Is second base a bit too much!
So Ginny can play with my make-up and hair!
I will behave myself, I swear!
(And I’ll really swear, bet your derriere!)
Now plug me in,
I’m a skilled operator! Skilled operator!
Skilled operator! Skilled operator!
Stick me in that crazy-eye shiksa,
Turn me loose!
If she breaks, then Ginny can fix her!
Tweak my screws!
I’m a skilled operator … skilled operator … skilled operator … skilled operator …

Wow, Nick. No matter how you parse it, that’s a hell of a sentence. It might make a good song title too.
great comic – finally read the archive, absolutely brilliant.

Whoa, hold on. Nick is Jewish?
