I think the thing I find most interesting is the fact that the three versions of Violet we’ve seen so far have looked a bit different, simply due to the body language of the operator.

But, yeah, Shaenon is really good at body language. There’s one bit in Narbonic where three different characters have been turned into Dave, and it’s possible to tell them apart just by the way they stand.
As someone who think the swear-filter is hilarious, I’m happy to see that it’ still around when he’s in Violet’s body. It just wouldn’t be Nick without it.
He’s not just using the body — I think Nick truly identifies with the bits of technology he inhabits: It’s just like how it’s not “you” and “you’re arm”, but everything you directly control is you. So for Nick, those hands are just as much part of him as an arm or a leg (or, well, hands, if you wanna be all accurate and stuff).
Additionally, I’m gonna go by the body language that Nick still totally identifies as male.
And judging from Chris’s candidness with him, I think he, at least, doesn’t have any trouble seeing Nick as male, either.
It’s gonna bother me until I figure out if Nick is wearing a long sleeve undershirt or if he’s wearing a ringer tee and his arms are in shadow in panel 3.
Like the fact that a true goth/punk can manage to be aloof and/or menacing in pink. I’ve met a couple who could pull that off – friends of a friend. Dressed bright and cheerful, but the crowd opened around them like they were something out of the Ring or similar supernatural monster films.

This is something you encounter when playing Mahjong Titans on Windows. There’s the circle tiles, the number tiles and the boner tiles. The most disturbing boners are the 1’s (so big) and 9’s (so many).

Obviously the profanity filter is still in place… but is it Violet’s voice who is threatening violence? Or is Nick’s voice coming out of that female body? I can’t decide which would be more funny.

Nicklet looks GOOD. And male- the facial expressions (I’ve read this before; it’s more than just the two), not just the breast-disguising shirt. Not that “looks good” and “looks male” are directly related.

Nick isn’t really in Violet’s Body. He’s just using it as a mobile communications device, like Virginia’s phone.
Of course, VB has some features Virginia’s phone lacks ^_^

That may be how he – and possibly others around him – view it, but he’s still in the Osprey. Along with the anti-profanity software.
