Unity made a list of stuff she expects Sweetheart is going to be mad at her about. That leads one to wonder if perhaps Unity has an idea of what will make Sweetheart mad and is doing this on purpose, which leads to the question of why. I’m thinking maybe Unity either thinks Sweetheart is cute when she’s mad, or just likes to provoke people on purpose because it’s fun.
I think the answer re: your two options is basically “Yes to both.” And also because every couple has sets of conversation-scripts that they use for comfort, and this is one of theirs.
People seem to forget that UNITY is a nanobot swarm built as a weapon of mass destruction. It is in her very nature to cause harm.
We’ve seen her murder innocent people for fun / because she gets bored / because she gets hungry. We’ve seen her nail her own head to control console, again because she got bored. Basically any time she gets bored, she resorts to destruction, murder, or tormenting people.
UNITY is either doing this on purpose, which is horrible enough, or she’s literally so mindless and reflexively harmful that she’s unaware, which is somehow worse.
I have always been of the mind that wanton destruction is always worse than unintentional destruction. They may be equally destructive, but I don’t think there’s any malice (usually) in Unity’s behavior. Yes, it’s instinctive, but she’s aware enough that she only eats people who really deserve it. The rest she just gnaws on – like chew toys.
Unity’s just being a thoughtful girlfriend. If she didn’t keep a list it’s odds on she might forget. And that would REALLY get Sweetheart mad when she found out.
A while back I composed an instrumental tune for Sweetheart (you can probably figure out when from the title). Sounds like a *very* syncopated 4/4 to me. (I’m a Classical fan, so I’m not all that knowledgeable about Jazz notation.) But, yeah; It’s very catchy and I can imagine Sweetheart groovin’ to it.

Here’s a silly thought. Maybe she knows that Sweetheart prefers to receive every bit of news in list form.
Maybe Unity operates on impulsive decision-making, and afterwards thinks, “Hey, that thing I did might make Babe mad.”
