Isn’t it funny how In Real Life the “romantic hero” never bothers to follow his lady fair – or grab a Concord so he can be waiting for her when she arrives?

To be fair, no one has been able to grab a Concord for the past 17 years.

I’ve seen how much those tickets cost–even before then, basically no one was able to grab a Concorde.

Echo Bravo, in the short time you’ve known Alpha, you’ve come to know her too well. You’re a liability to Anasigma, you need to spend time in the Loyalty Cages

Or maybe he will try to defect. That would be hilarious.

So both of them have fallen for Valiant.

I’m not sure how much this is about Valiant, or even about sparing the rats in general, and how much it’s about Following the Narrative. I suspect that when they write their report, the phrase “Because that’s what our character would have done” will feature heavily.

I think someone mentioned that they will get called into their supervisor’s office for a debriefing scene not unlike the “Bad Blood” episode of The X Files. This is looking more and more like it’s what will actually happen.

Although I suppose in this case they’ll both agree that the handsome contact in the hostile community they infiltrated had big buck teeth.

Might involve extirpation. So they might choose to resign and quit and quietly elope with Valiant instead.

I think Echo Bravo should use those V.R. helmets more often. They seem to be jump starting his brain.

More to the point, this scenario seems to have jump-started Echo Bravo’s compassion. (And perhaps other emotions…)

The RSS feed has a… different strip. I think it’s from a few days later 🙂 insta-spoilers!

The one that was originally posted was indeed a future strip. After several people commented that it looked out of place, it was corrected (and all the related comments removed).

Oh,I guess my RSS feed reader downloaded the actual image and cached it. I never knew they did that 🙂

Either that, or your RSS feed points to a specific image file. Typically, whenever Shaenon updates a page with a new image, the new image has a “-1” appended to the filename. So your reader could still be pointing to the original image, rather than to the comic page.
