    Chekov’s glial essence.

No, not the playwright, the one who screamed in terror a lot.

Glial essence was invented by a little old Russian from Vladivostok.

(odd that Firefox’s spell-check doesn’t have glial in its list)

So, Unity covered herself in what basically equates to a zombie lure. Very well, that’s Unity. She then mopped it up with Tip’s hat – and Tip decided to put that hat back on.

Are they just playing rugby with the Idiot Ball at this point?

In fairness to Unity, the stuff makes her smarter.

In fairness to Tip, he might very well have decided that the possibility of a pheromone effect might serve to extend the period of Unity smartness and came to the conclusion that the benefits of a smart Unity outweighed the drawbacks of zombie encounters that would be happen anyway. @_@

Actually, now that I think of it, if the smell is enough to make zombies smarter then it’s to their benefit in more ways then one. It’s because the zombies are lacking brains that they’re a danger. In normal mode they’re productive citizens. Now *why* they would be kept as zombies when St. Charlie’s ability to do Raise Deads has been established is still another matter.

Actually studied something like this in college. Because congenital hearing loss perforce has its own language (ASL) associated with it, it has developed into an actual culture; in short, the condition “deaf” has spawned an entire way of life “Deaf”, with a capital “D”. You might be surprised at how many people raised in the Deaf culture and with Deaf children will fight and fight hard against the suggestion that, as cochlear implant technology improves, that they should “cure” their child with it; in short, curing them of their entire culture. There’s something of that in here.

The angle of your lemur avatar’s head reassures me that he always reads the comment above him carefully before responding, even if it’s long and he gets a crick in the neck.

That’s a lemur? I always thought it was a dog wearing a striped coat.

Poor Dr. Lee… She tries so hard to calmly and rationally find her way through a whole world of crazy.

To quote the Cheshire Cat: we’re all mad here.
