(TUNE: “All I Have To Do Is Dream”, The Everly Brothers)

    My work is done,
    I’ve taken pains …
    The zombies come
    In search of brains!
    My nerves are in shambles!
    All I wanna do
    Is scream …
    Scream, scream, scream!

    The horde is slow-
    -Ly lurching past!
    Now I will go,
    And rather fast!
    And when I’ve a moment,
    What I’m gonna do
    Is scream!

     Made a brain machine,
     Exited the scene,
     Quietly … got away!
     After what I saw …
     “E_YAAAH!”
My screaming could go on all day!

    Now those who hear
    Are feeling grief!
    But Nick lacks ears
    What a relief!
    His aural receptors
    Help to filter out
    My scream!

Thank you for not choosing Michael and Janet’s “Scream.”

He obviously has sound receptors. I think he means to thank her for not giving him eardrums or pain receptors associated with loud noise.

Darn it, “If Nick’s got no ears how does he hear? Terrible!” doesn’t work.

    Curse you, English language!

      “My helicopter-body has no ears!”
      “How does it hear?”
“What? I wasn’t listening, [chick mag], be more interesting next time.”

Just because you’re an undead monstrosity doesn’t mean you can’t have a balanced diet, right?

      Vegan zombie. It happens.

(Yeah, it could be vegetarian, too. But… vegan’s funnier.)

All of those zombies are vegan, actually. The non-vegan ones were distracted by Virginia’s brain dispenser.

Nope. Look closely. It’s the “a” that drones on

I think you’re right. Perhaps the brains from Ginny’s plipper are synthesized from seitan. “Soylent grey is wheat! It’s WHEAT!!!”

Really digging the art here. That’s some top-quality nervous apprehension in Panel 2.

Huh. I always thought that a classic sign of fear was blood draining from one’s face, but according to Wikipedia one of the symptoms/signs is “constriction of the peripheral blood vessels leading to blushing”, so …
    Virginia blushes – 15
