He’s had us all worried here.

      Ehh… speak for yourself.

Huh….. So Tip voluntarily sacrificed a part of his identity (and face it, folks, you can be as shallow as a shower and *still* have aspects and totems that are inherently, uniquely yourself) to get something done, while Sweetheart tossed hers under the runaway bus of appearance. **goes crosseyed** Talk about switching places…

Not really! The fact is that as long as reality blindness is a thing then Sweetheart does need to do this in order to get anything done and she is genuinely in a career where appearance does matter. I honestly do not understand why people are ragging on Sweetheart for deciding that as long as she needs to got this she may as well go with whatever is top of the line. @_@

        White males, that is? 😀

Correct. Sweetheart needed to use a human-looking drone in order to be able to continue her job, since most of her employees could not understand her. She recognized the type of drone she would need in order to be able to maximize social dominance, and made a choice. Recognizing what it takes to achieve dominance, and seeking such, are integral to who she is.

So, is identity more about how someone perceives their self, or how they think their self is perceived by others.

Personally I feel that if your identity is wrapped up so thoroughly in your clothes or your apperance, you don’t really have one.

Our personality is expressed through our clothes and appearance, clearly for some the inability to express that is troubling.

Doesn’t anyone else see Tip’s weakness as a sign his mojo has been siphoned away? Perhaps power for some nefarious plot? By a nemesis who dwells in Vermont?

Perhaps reality blindness has hit Tip, too.

We cant see because of the framing, but I imagine in the first two panels that Sweetheart is wagging her tail.

We’re also missing aspects of the fourth dimension, so imagine Sweetheart’s footsteps (2/4 instead of 4/4, but who’s counting?), and her breathing, posture, et cetera.

    5th panel
UNITY: Hey, I can fit shoulders….

TIP: Okay, one, those are not the fitted shoulders I was talking about, and two, I still need those shoulders to hold my arms in place. Please let them go. (Ow.)

If Tip’s quit shaving, imagine how his legs must look by now…

I’m picturing Ted Bessel as Sweetheart…

Well, somewhere between Ted Bessel and Dick Gautier…

Thaqt’s not much of a revelation, Tip. Wide shoulders on menswear have been out of style since the 80s and built up shoulders have been out of style since the mid-2000s.
