Surprised he hasn’t ran into any happily married women yet. Doubly strange since I’m surrounded by them at least 8 hours a day.

Actually, it’s surprising the chief has kept her clothes for so many panels… I mean, it’s Tip we’re talking about.
Well, to be fair, it’s a little cold outside for public nudity, so they have to have enough time to get indoors.
They’re so annoyed that neither of them realized Chief Rome:
1. Recognized that Sweetheart is an intelligent, talking dog; and 2. Didn’t react to that fact.
Tip is too preoccupied to notice as well, but he’s not annoyed.
Sweetheart may not be the first talking dog she’s seen in town (and certainly not the weirdest thing to be seen in Alaska). And given Sweetheart’s history, this may not even be the first time she’s been in this town.
