It occurs to me that Sergio hasn’t interacted with Unity much so far. It looks like this may change next week. Will he spend most of it wondering why she seems so familiar? (Of course not, he’s Sergio, he’ll figure it out in three seconds.)
It’s been a long night,
Skin Horse was poorly scored!
I got some Bud Light,
‘Cause I’m really freakin’ bored!
And I can feel my synapses pick up speed …
Alcohol is fuel!
And I got every answer than you might need!
I tell you, I’m no one’s fool!
’Cause I got brains, and I’m smart!
I’m smarter than you could believe, and
I’ve got smarts in my head!
I can solve anything!
Got a head full of brains!
Stomach, though, is gonna heave,
But I won’t fall apart!
I’ve got brains …
Red-hot brains …
Brains that are smart!
Every time I watched Enterprise, I would think “What a lame-ass song, especially compared to the other Star Treks. I can’t believe I didn’t recognize Rod Stewart’s voice! (Actually, I thought it might be Bryan Adams.) was this piece of overwrought dreck written for the show, or was it pre-existing dreck?
1) Pre-existing; the song was originally for the Patch Adams soundtrack. However…
2) …it was a completely new arrangement, covered by someone other than Rod Stewart, which is why you didn’t recognize his voice. Wikipedia says it was a guy named Russell Watson.
3) If you seek out Rod Stewart’s original version on YouTube, you will discover it was actually *more* overwrought drek; the new arrangement for Enterprise actually managed to reduce the drek level (very, very) marginally.
Sadly, this is because when I first saw Enterprise, and that song started to play, I went “What the flying HELL” and looked up what the song was and what its story was. 🙂

Na, he’ll be oblivious… but will still tag along and do everything she says. What I’m wondering is will she somehow recognise him…
Also, wondering what the comedown from so many brains will be?
can’t quite make out what it says on the bottle… some kind of Medulla Cola? Cerebellum beer? Ganglia Wine?
(TUNE: “Faith Of The Heart”, Rod Stewart)

thanks for sharing your dreckspertise!

Wasted on intelligence. Would that we could all do so.
This happens routinely at science conventions, especially during the cocktail hour.
Because a mind is a terrible thing to get wasted on.
I have half a mind to get wasted right now.
I hope it becomes an addiction, I like her smart.
and then unity killed everyone, quickly and cleanly, the end.
