There’s a spring-powered ‘bot …
Killer instincts he’s got,
On the motorized stairwell to havoc!
In this dim, dusty mall,
Fools who laughed, show them all!
He will show them a pure hell of havoc!
Empty stores they will raid
(Closed by cheap foreign trade)!
That will get Anasigma’s attention!
With his instincts for war,
They will soon learn the score
If Miss Sweet-heart assists with ascension!
Oooh … from the ground up …
Oooh … still he must be wound up!
Since Tigerlily made him deadly,
He’s now ahead, see!
Into the Institute they’ll sneak, now!
And Sweetheart’s rampage doesn’t go well,
She’s hit a slow spell!
Her evil efforts are weak, now!
[big chords go here … you know the ones]
And as we strive to terrorize
(Though real harm we minimize),
A rather old Thinkonium
With true chaotic craft has come!
And soon, with Tigerlily’s aid
Will a destructive swath be made!
For when Moustachio’s set free,
You’ll see how evil he can be!
He’ll vandalize up to the skiiiiies …
It would be amusing if the one flaw in their plan (giving Sweetheart the perfect rant, having her wander around in public with a robot minion, etc.) is that no-one actually notices her doing any of it.
If (a) ain’t nothing can stop a true engine of chaos, and (b) Moustaschio is stopped by a moving stairwell, it follows that (c) Moustachio cannot be a true engine of chaos. Quod Erat Demonstratum.
Well, they stopped him in the 19th century (when he had probably staircase-conquering legs [1]): but then he may have been stopped by Mads, and when Tigerlily said “ain’t nothing can stop a true engine of chaos”, I’m sure she’s not including herself in that statement. 🙂 (If nothing else, she can build a _bigger_ engine of chaos).
Speaking of Mads Vs Creations, I dunno if that was the way the Old War really went: After all, in the 21st century, some Mads (such as Collodi) seem to be on the side of the creations, and the biggest anti-Creation organization we know, Anasigma, seems run by normals boosted by re-engineered or just stolen Mad tech, and seems to be anti-Mad as well anti-Creation.
[1] Remember, Tigerlily herself was baffled by his leg-gearing
Most American stores and malls don’t allow dogs (except for service animals, i.e. seeing-eye dogs). Escalators have signs warning you to fold up strollers (prams) and carry any infants. Hmmm, considering Unity’s mental age … now I have this image of Sweetheart/Violet cradling Unity in her arms while going up the escalator. Fanart time!
I think escalators and animals are more of an issue with railways rather than shops, as you are allowed to take dogs on trains, and most stations are on more than one level.
Unfortunately – most of the US doesn’t have commuter trains or subways, thus we miss this nuance. And long distance train travel is often more trouble than it is worth. I could not carry a suitcase onto my nearest Amtrak train for say – a trip to Florida. I would have to drive/bus to NYC (2 hour drive) to board a train that allowed me to have luggage (beyond a carry on bag).
I’m in CT – the only commuter rail runs along the coast between NYC and Boston – serving those greater metro areas (which for NYC metro includes parts of CT).
I did once live in Japan for 3 years – was impressed at their mass transit, but even then I lived a half hour drive (45 by bus) to the nearest train station. Was faster to directly drive the entire 20 miles (67 traffic lights) than to bus and train to the station nearest the base – then still be another 15 minutes walk to get to the base.
Well… yes, Sweetheart.
Which is how and why children and pets drive their parents crazy.
How very… Dalek.
Real Daleks don’t climb stairs.Real Daleks level the building.

Mustachio has one weakness…
Oh come on, Sweetheart, don’t be like that. You’re doing a great job of loitering.
Someone has been playing Borderlands 2, I see.
Eddurd……that is Brill.

He’s been shown a time or two with treads… if those were his legs, no wonder the “leg” gearing looks odd…
He’s already using BIOSHOCK SPOILER BRAINWASHING on Sweetheart!?! I knew Moustachio was evil all along!
Head in a box?
How very se7en of you!
:>)
Sweetheart should be more excited about this. “My old foe the escalator. But this time I’m the one who must carry my companion!”
(Or do American escalators not have “Dogs must be carried” signs?)
I’m American, and I’ve never seen one of those. People just generally don’t take dogs up escalators.

Quick Sweetheart, kick over a cup of coffee!
