Tip’s exposition hat proved unnecessary!
He could smack Ask across the face with it.
I think you mean he “should” smack Ask across the face with it.
Good point. “Could” implies an option, which would mean it may still be unnecessary. “Should” implies an imperative, making it necessary again.
Someone’s a bit slow at learning the “don’t ignore the unconscious guy” thing.
To be fair, the past 5 strips probably haven’t spanned much more than a minute of real time.
Ouch. Thanks, Augie….I think. NOW I have to re-tabulate and re-configure how I perceive TIME, too. I WAS quite happy, thank you.
Sorry about that. But as Ford Prefect said, “Time is an illusion. Lunchtime, doubly so.”
Okay, Mr. Ask, you go tell that zombie bear to let the guy go.
But true to his name, he’ll have to ask the bear to let him go.
It is possible that the bear is an agent of Cypress trying to rescue the knitter from the two of them. After all, he (the knitter) survived this long surrounded by his adversary for a reason.
And so the authors tease us, by waving a big bag of exposition at us, only to then snatch it away.
You can’t have a good Annihilation pastiche if you *explain* things!
