Pineapples, bananas, and the usual cake ingredients, frosted with cream cheese frosting and garnished with pecans. I could’a stood everything except the last.
I had to look it up myself, but I recognized both the ingredients and the traditional sugar and cream cheese frosting.
I’d been eating it for decades and just not known what it was called.
I wondered where Brian was (hey, don’t you wonder what happens to independent disembodied body parts?), and then noticed the hand hanging nonchalantly from one of the vines behind Remy. So either Brian joined the green collective, which seems suspicious given that he’s driven by Unity-style nanobots, or Remy committed the party foul of sneaking a plus two in with his plus one. Hm.
Oh, I did wonder if Remy had left Brian behind in order to bring Mme. des Souhaits instead, but I do see him in the background over Remy’s shoulder. It’s possible he could have joined the collective. After all, we did have an alternate version of Unity that took over the swamp in her world, so there’s no reason to think that Brian wouldn’t be able to join the collective if he wanted to. Since he doesn’t have a brain, though, there would probably be little danger in him being able to take over the whole thing the way alt-Unity did.
So, if Brian is now part of the collective, then no party foul was committed. If, OTOH, Brian is not part of the collective, and is just hanging from a vine in the collective at the moment, then Remy has indeed committed a party foul by sneaking in a plus two.

I’m really looking forward to receiving the complete print & pdf editions through the Zoop fundraiser field agent level rewards (great bargain, for those who haven’t gone in yet), but WOW it’s going to feel weird reading them without all of the entertaining reader comments!
The songs and limericks from Robert Nowall (and others, too) are amazing, along with the insights and flights of fancy from the community. Sure hope they get enough financial support to keep the site active so we can come back and revisit that part of the operation.
Invited was he and one guest. A matter of room for access. But five hundred square feet will crowd up their small meet-fill. So what will they do with the rest?
Well, it’s good to see Mme. des Souhaits has recovered from her experiences…
Ditto
How fast could a swamp move?
Did they stop on the way for snacks?….if so who?
Next question…hummingbird cake
1. made by hummingbirds?
2. made for hummingbirds?
3. made of hummingbirds?
what combination ?
Pineapples, bananas, and the usual cake ingredients, frosted with cream cheese frosting and garnished with pecans. I could’a stood everything except the last.
Also called Doctor Bird cake. We need a character called Doctor Bird.
Thought at first glance it might’ve been walnuts.
It could be, but almost certainly is pecans if someone’s from the south.
the natural predator of dr worm
Good morning, Doctor Worm!
I’d eat that.
I had to look it up myself, but I recognized both the ingredients and the traditional sugar and cream cheese frosting.
I’d been eating it for decades and just not known what it was called.
Made by hummingbirds, out of (rival) hummingbirds.
…for (comrade) hummingbirds.
Before the discussion gets out of hand, here’s the recipe: https://www.southernliving.com/recipes/hummingbird-cake-recipe
Sounds tasty.
God help me, I made one yesterday. Minus the pecans.
Combining Chrysalis’ and woozy’s explanations, actual hummingbirds could have created the cake using the standard recipe.
“We made hummingbird cake”
I’m going to resist the obvious joke. Will everyone else?
Nope.
What did the hummingbirds bring?
Swamp Sludge:
Avocados, Cannellini Beans, Onion, Cilantro, Lime Juice, Salt, Tortilla Chips
The swamp is a gestalt being, so it is only one guest!
I don’t see any of the remaining post-H. T. pass-the-gestalt members in this shot. Maybe tomorrow they’ll crash the party.
Bringing Mme. des Souhaits as a plus one is never a party foul. She has perfect manners, obviously.
Especially since she brought cake. Really really good cake.
I wish I could still have carbs and sugars…

…or Pancha committed the party foul by colouring Brian green.
Well, he as been disembodied for quite a long time. Green may be his natural color by now.

Aw, the Jersey Devils are still hanging out in the hive mind.
Pooh and Christopher Robin only had the Hundred Acre Wood.

The parodies enhancing belief. The limericks, shorter and brief. But the end coming soon will bring such a boon to the end of it—what a relief!
Perfect!
Poor Brian!

It’s more like 21,780,000 square feet.
But that obviously doesn’t fit the meter.
I took it to mean that 500 square feet was already too much, so where do they find room for the other 499.99 acres?
