Uh-oh; demotees are not likely to be happy campers… Is it just me or does the blond guy in panel one resemble Illya Kuryakin? Could be, I guess. The guy was in well over a hundred affairs…
Office manager isn’t generally a supervisory position. On the other hand, patient extraction specialist has a rather distinct “James Bond, only I get them back alive” sound to it.
Her field work involved going after mad scientists in full uproar (and Sweetheart) and bringing them back alive, no matter how many grenades it took. The hazard pay alone is probably higher than base pay for supervisory. She might be a bit ticked.
On the other hand, if U.N.I.T.Y. is anything to go by, she might need those grenades more than ever now.
The chapter title is still Looking Glass Land. That means it’s alt-canon. Can we go back to the real story now? Or to some reason for this timeline to exist?
Looking Glass Land has to interact with main continuity to be a proper Mirror Universe story; I’m pretty darn sure we’re back in main canon, awaiting that interaction.
The time differential could be caused by Earth II (Electric Boogaloo) being a few inches further from its sun; its year infinitesimally longer… what is today in one, is just now Swamp Clobberin’ Time there…
The Institute is a government department, but it appears that Anasigma, a private government contractor, effectively runs this and many other Black Ops projects.
As someone who works with a lot of contractors (many of whom are quite awesome), contracting everything out is definitively not an efficient way to run Civil Service at all.
We’ve got staff!
We’ve got staff!
Personnel!
Gee, it’s swell!
We’ve got staff!
I bark an order, ev’ryone runs
To fetch us coffee and buns!
We’ve got help!
We’ve got aides!
Dressed in black, and they’re all wearing shades!
Just Tip and me and Unity, we three did it all,
We never had a moment’s rest, were always on call …
But now we’ve got an office full, and clear down the hall,
We’ve got staff
And a half!
We’ve got staff!
So there are other Black Ops government programs, eh? Would I be right in assuming that Black Ops FEMA is everything conspiracy theorists have ever claimed regular FEMA was?

I’m not sure U.N.C.L.E. is all that black, as ops go.
I was thinking more “son or grandson” of Illya… he could be ex-THRUSH, or not so ex, without regard to his illustrious, enigmatic ancestor…
Does anywone else think the woman in panels 3 and 4 looks like Velma? And she’s the only one wearing clear glasses.
Well, there’s a familiar face! …Is this going to be a problem when Moustachio and Bubbles walk in?
(WORRY NOT! HITTY HAS PLAN!)
This is not going to go well.
Demoted? Goodness, no! You were just laterally transferred. For less pay.
Surely a supervisory position would be a higher pay grade than field work…

Wait is this Cannon or is it still Alt-Cannon?
Since were back to the present…
Unity’s coloration is back to normal, all else is speculation. We do seem to be in the main timeline, but how would we know for sure?
(Also, the word you want is “canon”, with a single ‘n’.)
Actually, I’d rather have the cannon.
Get that bitch a cannon; bitches LOVE cannons.

Tip is the hottest Man in Black (or Man in LBD) I’ve ever seen.
I don’t think that stun-gun will be used in the usual manner when Tip gets his mojo working.
Every Office Manager needs a stun gun.
Why don’t most organizations issue them?
I’ve been asking that question for years.
The Institute? The Institute? The same one they just moved heaven and earth to break in to? Who are they working for?
Does this mean Echo Bravo will be coming along, too?
I was under the impression that the institute was part of Anasigma and that A-sig was private sector.
Unless… Skin Horse has been privatized?
The Institute is a government department, but it appears that Anasigma, a private government contractor, effectively runs this and many other Black Ops projects.
This seems to be a frighteningly efficient way to run Civil Service.
Obviously the product of Mad (political?) Science.
As someone who works with a lot of contractors (many of whom are quite awesome), contracting everything out is definitively not an efficient way to run Civil Service at all.
I loved the look on Sweetheart’s face at the sight of the new office manager.

I’ll bet Black Ops NASA is awesome
