I mean, yes, I’d like to see several of our clan tie the knot – Jonah & Nera, Chris & Marcie, Tip & Tigerlily – but as yet, no plans are under way. I’m not sure that Unity and Sweetheart can get married. Yes, non-humans were granted equal rights with humans – at least in California – but there’s still the problem of an inter-species marriage that may or may not have been addressed in that legislature. (There’s also the question of what “species” Unity actually is, because I don’t think “nanite gestalt” is recognised as a “species”)
Surely normal population will freaked out when they finally realize a state or two was gone because biomass?

It does kind of suck, doesn’t it? I feel so incredibly sorry for kids in their teens and twenties: my generation said and did equally stupid stuff when we were their age, but nobody had handcomps or the social media panopticon to record it all.

I think the only sentients who have actually won so far are Dr. Lee and Nick, Tigerlily, and Unity because she has the enviable positive outlook of seeing everything as a win.

I thought some of ’em might’ve gotten hitched in Vegas when they were there, when the city works its magic on them. But it hasn’t happened.
