I watched a few episodes of it, it was better than I expected. I drifted off it after about six episodes, but that’s more of a me thing than a reflection on the show itself. I leave tv series and video games half-finished a lot.
The Eight Deadly Words work for TV and movies as well as books. If you say them, you don’t have to finish reading/watching/etc. These words are “I don’t care what happens to these people”.
Had that with “The Sopranos.” Watched an early episode, said to myself, “Why am I supposed to care what happens to these people?” and didn’t watch again. (Of course in one of my periodic financial crises I cut back on pay cable and couldn’t watch anymore after that.)
Got the same feeling from reviews and ads for “Breaking Bad,” don’t think I ever saw more of it than something caught channel surfing.
I watched the original when I was a teenager back in the ’80s, but I honestly don’t remember much about it other than that I liked it. Haven’t seen any of the sequel series.
I was thinking of the reboot of Dirty Pair, where the only thing that was the same about the girls was their hair colour. I mean, it wasn’t terrible, and I bought it anyway, but it wasn’t as good as the original.
Hmmm, I wonder if Virginia and Nick worked out some duress and/or distress codes? OTOH, Dr. Lee might just be bored. I’m not sure how long she’s been in that cage hanging over the spike pit, but, if it drags on long enough, boredom is bound to overtake terror eventually.
To anticipate the probable debate: “Yes, it was queerbaiting.”, “They’ve been hinting at Keith/Acxa since Season 2, so it’s not ‘Out Of Nowhere'”, “Yes, ‘Kosmo’ is a silly name”, “Yes, having the only set of plans on Earth is contrived AF”, and “I ship Hunk/Pidge. Fight me.”
I still need to watch that.

Heh, I had the same reaction to The Walking Dead. “Wow, this show is really good, and yet I don’t care for some reason. Let’s see what else is on.”

I don’t know, the characters seems interesting. I think it was juts the story I couldn’t get invested in.
Can’t say without seeing it first. But the idea of seeing it doesn’t thrill me.
That could be Dr. Lee’s main opinion.
It is actually shockingly good.

Same, original an Vehicle Force, won’t watch the reboot, reboots never are as good as they want them to be (look at MLP)

Would prefer more robot action, honestly.

Wait, was Nera always here?
She probably has nerd mojo
Nera and Jonah followed the weather disruptions.
…and the fondue.
She’s like Superman. She knows when she’s needed.
Jonah told her she needed to be on the roof to get a phone call.
They’re not on the roof. Unity came back down to the party.
lead up tp a wall break? When do they start talking about *this* strip?
Sunday!
…I suddenly want the characters to meet Shaenon
Do they realise they’re drawn by a vicious, hate-filled cartoonist with a sadistic sense of humour?
Jonah probably knows.
Sunday-strip Dave knew, but I’m pretty sure regular Dave didn’t. What this means for the Skin Horse characters I have no idea.
I suspect that regular Dave knew as well. While on Madblood’s moon base, he did remark that they didn’t have a very good artist.
Well, at least Dr. Lee has her priorities, if not straight, then at least consistent.
