Extirpation seems to be an Anasigma-only thing. It might also be a thing in other parts of the shadow government, but I would be very surprised if any Annex One employees were subject to it. Even Ira, since Mr. Green seems to be pretty high on the food chain.
As for worrying about staff disappearing, as I recall, no one worried when the staff from the old Skin Horse training videos disappeared because there was no uncertainty about what happened. Unity ate them. And was promptly hired to fill the vacancy.
Hang on, how are we sure Anasigma are the bad guys again?
Come on, Sweetheart. The last thing you heard Ira say was, “I should have taken [Nick] from the start.” Now Nick’s gone, and Ira is nowhere in sight. Shouldn’t you be wondering about that? Or checking the security footage of the roof to see when Nick left? I know it’s a nice party, but have you already forgotten there’s a war on?
It drives me nuts when characters seem to be slow on the uptake. I can never figure out whether they’re being held back by plot, or whether I have unreasonably high expectations. (Judging by real life, it’s probably the latter.) 🙁
He is wired into everything. And we know he has in integrated phone, because we saw Virginia talking to him on her cell phone when they were in St. Charlie. The bigger question is whether he can pick up the phone, now that he theoretically has no free will.
is it weird that im kinda starting to like scruffy!Tip? he’s weirdly cute this way
still, i look forward to the triumphant return of his true glamourous self
Who’s scruffy lookin’?
Damned nerf herders…
…That’s a fair hit, Sweetheart. Sorry.
She’s capable of it … and any day now might show it.
Hey, they are just going by historical precedent here.
Even so, and based on lots of time in government, it’s probably the time sheets.
Should Sweetheart’s love of procedure and forms ever morph into love of Rampage, woe unto her enemies!
Or at least unto her coffee.
But she only drinks Dr Lee’s Evil Coffee® now
Which should escalate the process immensely.
“File form 7144-B, check…got the permit from the city…all right, I’m ready for my rampage!”
Disappearing staff never worried anyone before. Whatever happened to all the staff in the old training videos?
Nosing into that may be a reason for extirpation.
Or were there other training videos I’ve forgotten?

I just assume that we’re seeing things play out in minutes in-canon, even if it takes a few days in real-time.
If Unity is calling Nick, how would Nick pick up the phone? (I know, I know, he’s wired into it—but have they actually *said* he’s wired into it?)
He has a full internet connection. I would assume he has cell reception, too. The question is which provider do they have?
