“Wild Things” Thumbnails
Shaenon: Sometimes you sketch something in the thumbnails and just know you won’t be able to capture it in the final strip. This was one of those times. There was no way I was going to reproduce that panda. Sigh.
Thought I’d share a few more thumbnails from this storyline…
Note that I drew something that looks at least vaguely like a fireaxe in the thumbnails, before deciding in the final strips that reasonably-sized axes are for losers.
Channing: I think the Unity/Sweetheart/Konstantin strip that eventually came out of the final thumbnail is one of my favorite strips thus far. “Is basis of government!” is such a stone-cold classic Garrity line that it makes me weep. How did I ever score this job again?
I feel like there is some sort of quip to be made about pandas and reproducing…
