Good point. I submit that both dogs needed help; Sweetie just needed *less*. Probably clipped right on her collar, right next to the tag buried in her fur, which all law-abiding dogs carry… or vet tags where no license is required. This is Sweetheart! If there’s nothing to be a stickler about, she’ll *find* something!
Unity *can* tie a tie, but would prefer not to. Anyone who can operate a rifle- remember our first sight of her?- can tie a knot.
There’s a move planned for Skin Horse, as soon as they’re ready.
They’re together of course, as soon as they’re ready.
But then the new boss is being a bore.
They have a dress code they didn’t before.
Is she ready? (Is she ready?)
Well, it’s not bad, ‘cause she sure looks cute
In the Monkey Suit, (Monkey Suit,)
(Monkey Suit.)
It’s the look of the Agents in Black, it’s just how they project it.
But the People of Skin Horse react and want to reject it.
Knotted ties are a difficult skill,
When she just wants to fight and to kill.

Work with jacket and pants (start with jacket and pants,)
And boiled shirt (and boiled shirt,)
No blouse or skirt (no blouse or skirt,)
Well, it’s not bad, ‘cause she looks cute

Now the transfer to Maragda building is going to go down.
If new suits are the gold and the gilding, it’s still pretty low down.
Look ahead to a look that’s a fit.
In an ill-fitting black double-knit.

Seems to me that the metal guy got all polished up on his arrival to the Emerald City… looking forward to seeing if Moustachio or Hittie gets a nice gleam!
I’m now imagining that the word “crunchier” in Unity’s fourth-panel line refers not to physical texture but to the stereotyped granola-eating, Birkenstock(tm)-wearing lifestyle of the 1990s-era hippie. And that prospect is making me giggle nigh-uncontrollably.
An MiB suit for Sweetheart…?!?
Who’s gonna be the cutest little Black Ops Social Services Director ever?
Sort of like the pug in MiB, right?
Oh dear… on which side of the looking glass will we land?
The maragda? Faux Emerald City? What faux?
I searched “Maragda”; chocolate and a Linux based app are the top two results. I’m thinking the chocolate isn’t what the building was named after.
Waaaaaait a second. Unity has to wear a real tie and tie it herself, but Sweetheart can get away with a clip-on tie? Talk about double standards.
Now, now; the law requires accommodating the differently abled…
Not enough to accommodate Unity, apparently. And dogs are entirely capable of wearing regular ties, too.

Maybe the loop is just under her fur.
Shaenon!
Things in Black!
Cat in the Black Hat with Thing 1 and Thing 2 in Black!
It’s a thing!
One wonders if the Indy movies are different in this world, since much of his adventures would seem almost boringly normal to the Skin Horse cast…
Probably not; they only need to appeal to the reality-blind, and those “clued in” but not actively immersed in the weirdness like Jonah and Nera.
I was speculating on why _Unity_ would find them entertaining, but perhaps she likes watching documentaries.
“Figure on the gay wedding cake” comes to my mind, but, hey, if Tip can pull it off, Unity could give it a try.
And come to think of it, why would Agent Fancy say “schmancy?”
To avoid U.N.I.T.Y. replying “Babe! You got a building named after you! Sweet!”
Whether this would be a case of obfuscating stupidity or the genuine article is an exercise on the reader’s part.
Also…”Monkey Time,” Major Lance.

I wondered if Unity actually had monkey brains, then realized she probably did.
It’s some kind of emerald; unfortunately, the only Wikipedia entry I can find is in Spanish (I think.)
Catalan. and it’s not a kind of emerald, it means “emerald”, full stop.
So that’s why it wouldn’t translate…
