I think that she said “but robots are cute” was her reason not to scoop out their hard drives. Mustachio and Hitty are very cute, so they have no reason to be afraid.
Possibly, although it seems that this lab is more for examining the creations of actual Mads rather than where she creates her own copies. This would imply that she has had someone’s disembodied brain in this lab, but not Nick’s.
It would seem to have been implied that Nick’s brain was removed from his human body on-site at Groom Lake, since it was General Sal who said “we didn’t retain your body.” I doubt Nick knows anything about this place.
As for having someone else’s disembodied brain here, that’s only if she had disassembled a Mad creation that contained a disembodied brain. But she’s a neurosurgeon and cyberneticist, so she didn’t really need Mad science for what she did to Nick.
All I can say is this is awkward. And she obviously knows everything about this cruel “robot heaven” scam.
I really love the fluid ease at which she moves from lucidity to madness and back again. Makes her a natural talent for this job.
That’s strange. I seem to recall that she mentioned having scruples where robots were concerned to Sergio. o_O
While all robots built by mad scientists are ‘mad science technology’ not all mad science technology is robots.
😉

Is Moustachio in a simulation too?
My thought exactly – “We hope he’s ‘wearing the hat’…”
“Ahhh! A terrible Nerd Woman!” is my new favorite phrase. 😛
It wouldn’t be appropriate for me to wear that t-shirt but I definitely know some nerd women who would.
Her glasses turned blank.
Be afraid, my dear Mustaschio, be very afraid…
Wait till Dr. Lee discovers Moustachio has an eight-track memory…
‘Glinting’…yee.
I wonder if Nick knows anything about the dismembrarium…
Nope, while he was being disembodied he continued to play on, only later discovering that his flight simulator didn’t actually simulate flight.
It would not surprise me to learn that Nick was a “guest” of this particular lab once upon a time . . .

Christmas sorted, then?
The last comment (Christmas sorted, then?) was addressed to Finn.
I should remember that threading only works half the time here.
Dismembrarium. Band name. Dibs.
….Death Metal band?
For that matter, The Terrible Nerd Women would be a good band name, too.
Dr. Lee’s gone “full glasses” in the last panel. Watch out!
Ahhh! No disassemble! No disassemble!
Ah, Hammer Pictures’ “The Dismembrarium of Doctor Lee.” A stone-cold classic.
“It smells like dismembrarian in here!” Little cobra had it *almost* right…
Saturday Morning Breakfast Cereal has a Velveteen Rabbit comic up today, and it looks like the little guy would approve of the use of a dismembrarium!
Try to dismember
Your bots in September
When gears were good
And oil was yellow
Try to dismember
And what you dismember
Gets hollow, hollow …
Nice. For those who don’t recognize the tune, it’s “Try to Remember” from The Fantasticks!
Her tools and knowledge can shed light on the most inexplicable products of mad science, but can she quantify the power of Friendship?
i don’t know what’s creepier, that she has a latin name for this room, or that se says it with such glee
