And now the race is on for fan artists to provide imagery of the twill-skirted zombie and her (or his) steam-powered shark.

Nice to know everyone’s priorities are in place. In comic and out. 😀

Heck, if I know the comic, every one of those trophies is a reference…

I think the beaked head with the crash-helmet might be Fastback, from Captain Carrot and His Amazing Zoo Crew.

Nearly two years later, it’s just occurred to me that the robot head with the crown and the weird face might be the Robot King from Gunnerkrigg Court (“The saddest face!”) The head opposite also looks robotic, but also simian. Monkey Master from It’s Walky, possibly?

So that just leaves owl-cat-thing on the upper-left. Which I kind of want to be Pussy-Owl, except I’m not sure anyone who wasn’t a child in the UK in the late seventies has ever heard of Pussy-Owl.

If it is Piglet, it’s the Disney one. That’s what I’m telling myself…

Panel two is very ‘Streets of New York’. Is that a steampunk hatchet ?

Yes, yes it is. And I believe that’s supposed to be a Romani Frankenstein wielding it. At the very least, he’s the only one without a hat.

How the heck would sides like these remain a “shadow war”? Even the weird blind notice gunfire, even if they don’t see it coming out of a hat.

Well, they ARE the Dead Rabbits, after all.

Given the zombie-furry thing, one of them might _literally_ be a dead rabbit…

I like the “American Gothic” window in Panel Two.

Typo in the second panel: it’s “Art Nouveau”.

Aslo: NOOOOOO, not the Tiffany glasses !!!

I’m pretty sure the right most one is from “Where the Wild Things are” rendering in Shanon-Art ®
