This sounds like a worthy plan, but Tip’s still got to get through Mr. Green first. I wouldn’t be surprised if Mr. Green has figured out by now that “Chris” is not Chris, and is just enjoying the show, waiting for his moment to somehow trap Tip. Age and treachery, etc.
There’s hope that Mr. Green is too busy with his own nefarious schemes (off-site – we saw him leaving) to pay attention to what’s going on in his own backyard.
I continue to harbor a suspicion that Mr. Green’s actual aims are not as evil as they seem. Everything he has done has led to the heroes advancing in some way, including some “had to be intentional” moves.
Honestly, if he turned out to be working with/for Gavotte, I wouldn’t be shocked.
Well, I’ve got an assignment for her. She can go to Kansas and convince Mme. des Souhaits to take on the Biomass. (She did once convince Bubbles that service was not her only joy.)
I just want to point out that the body language on Tip is on point today. Usually I just notice the facial expressions, but his whole body is particularly expressive here.
In fairness, Tigerlily Jones, you ARE difficult to shop for.
You’re just figuring that out, girl?
**fans self** In a word from my home culture: Lawsy…

“Love will find a way”? Is Shaenon even capable of writing a story that does not have a happy (if perhaps a trifle ambiguous) ending?

I sincerely hope you are right, John! I’ve always liked Ira…
Maybe he acquires a different personality depending on what hat he is wearing? Nah – he commits his most heinous acts bareheaded.
Trying?
Won’t work. He’d have to have an M. D., and he’s just a lowly Ph. D….
I mean, duh. It’s not that he’s trying to seduce her. It’s why he’s trying to seduce her that she needs to think about.

I thought it was Unity that gave Bubbles coffee.
It was. But that’s not when she first uttered the word “not”. Tigerlily made that happen.
“Do you want me to seduce you? Is that what you’re trying to tell me?”
Has TIP become THE MAN, or is he just the man?
He’s trying to become the Man. He’s trying as fast as he can. But when he’s ascend-er he wants to surrender—all part of his curious plan.

Panel four – I am almost positive that is not the first time that Tip has uttered that sentence.
Well, we have seen that handcuffs barely even slow Tip down.
