When two people have been friends as long as those two, they can be the last ones to realize that they’re actually in love, in spite of how obvious it should be to them.
Ingenious! Jonah has leveraged Panoptica’s overconfidence so she is convinced she has won and won’t feel it necessary to delve below his surface thoughts as Nera backtracks Panoptica’s registration from their blog to Panoptica’s PC.
And if the detention cells are electronically controlled, Nera could open them without anyone’s help. What she would need, however, is a distraction for anyone guarding them. That’s where Shelby could really come in handy.
Gotta love Jonah still holding onto his trusty wrench. I recon if he ended up being a superhero it’d be his version of Captain America’s shield or Thor’s hammer.
Panoptica is fast becoming one of my favorite Skin Horse villains.
Who was your previous favorite
HT, by a country mile.
10 out of 10 for style. ^_^
She called Nera his girlfriend!
And he didn’t correct her!
Well, it is pretty obvious… except possibly to Jonah and Nera themselves.
Jonah was implied to have a vision of their future, so I think he bally well knows. And Nera doesn’t strike me as the sort to be in denial about it.

Wow, ten years? AWESOME!

Panoptica’s a telepath, not an IT nerd… wouldn’t Nera have *already* hacked her PC?
Nera has indeed hacked into almost everything. My expectation is that Panoptica’s PC is the source of Cerebriac’s instructions…
Jonah could very well be just distracting Panoptica while Nera is tricking the others into letting everyone go. And Shelby could also be helping out.

And do their current detainees also include the captain and crew of the Habakkuk?
Any that haven’t faded into the background as normal office supplies. The best disguise is for no-one to be looking for you.
They weren’t wearing red shirts, were they?
No-one in the new reality-blind America will read it? Jonah will have to try to pique the interest of the FSB, then.

I love Panoptica’s expression in the last panel.
