Alphaghoul: It seems as though Unity and Dan are both part of the Biomass, but they have separate minds. Unity’s statement in the fourth panel may refer to something which happened before she joined it.
It sounds like the relationship between U.N.I.T.Y. and the Biomass might be like the one between Eddie Brock and the Venom symbiote. The Biomass is sapient, but lacks personality and drive. U.N.I.T.Y. gives it the direction and purpose it would lack otherwise. Unlike the Venom symbiote, which only fed on adrenaline and other neurochemicals, the Biomass is consuming everything organic it can come across.
Yes, I am a recovering comic book geek, why do you ask?
Now I find myself wondering how Zombie Ben Franklin maintains his brain supply. To a dead man like Ben Franklin, a near-mindless walking death would hardly worth the walking.
If you think back on how the Colma story ended,
Now that the universe is parallel,
With all the Skin Horse congregation trapped and waiting on,
It’s a blast that Version One turned out so well.
Biomass,
It’s done in some bright green colors,
It takes in all kinds of comers,
Makes you think it’s unfurled
The coming way, oh, yeah.
We got a psycho wetland
Led by a sick mooncalf.
Will Unity lead the Biomass astray?
Now that the zombies and the swamp have all comingled,
And come to Southern Cal to fight.
It’s time to flee the peat abomination,
Or become a swampland leukocyte.
Biomass,
It’s done in some bright green colors,
It takes in all kinds of comers,
Makes you think it’s unfurled
The coming way, oh, yeah.
We got a psycho wetland
Led by a sick mooncalf.
Will Unity lead the Biomass astray?
Oh, Uni, don’t lead the Biomass astray…
Oh, Uni, don’t lead the Biomass astray…
Uni, don’t lead the ‘mass astray,
Uni, don’t lead the ‘mass astray,
Uni, don’t lead the Biomass astray!
Uni, don’t lead the ‘mass astray!
Let our heroes get away,
Uni, don’t lead the Biomass astray!
Uni, don’t lead the Biomass astray-hey-hey-hey!
Uni, don’t lead the Biomass astray!
Okay!
For just a second I thought this was a crossover with A Girl And Her Fed…
Either that or Dr. McNinja.
Or Spinnerette.
Wait, so the biomass is a separate entity from herself?

Alt!Dan doesn’t get any more respect than our Dan
Maybe I’ve been reading this strip for too long, but I find Biomass Unity disturbingly hot.
Examining further seems to show that she’s pretty naked.
Looks like she’s wearing a leaves-and-slime shoulderless min-dress.
Someone draw her as Poison Ivy. Please.
I will draw that for you, percentsigndollarsign! I havent drawn SH fanart for ages and ive been meaning to. If u comment tomorow ill show it to you.
Zombie Ben Franklin lives down in Malibu:

…though that’s back in their regular universe, so who knows?

—from “Kodachrome,” Paul Simon.
So his name is Dan Franklin?
No, it’s “Dan, not ‘Zombie Ben Franklin’ ”

i wonder how long it took to draw that first panel
“Everything’s so green!” —Mel Brooks as King Louis XVI in “History of the World Part I.”
Yeah!, the file name story is back
Is this perhaps a reference to Firesign Theater’s ‘Everything You Know Is Wrong’?
“Ben Franklin, the only President of the United States who was _never_ President of the United States.”
A Ben Franklin. Not the Ben Franklin.
Well, yeah, but he’s not even a Ben Franklin.
