I wonder if they’re going to just cut the power and let the robots run out of juice until they deactivate. Then point out that tactic wouldn’t have worked against windup machines.
Is it evil of me to point out that Nick did *not* defeat their force but merely defeated 3 of their members with assistance from Moustachio in about as many fights? o_O
Had he been fighting the bunch of them en masse I suspect it would have been a different story. 😛
Hmmm… no. Skin Horse doesn’t have a union card, and only union members could compete. So even if it was on behalf of Skin Horse (which is debatable), Nick was the competitor, and he’s the only one allowed into the VR. And it’s kind of moot whether it was even on behalf of Skin Horse anyway, since Nick would have done it with or without their approval, and Moustachio would have helped him either way.
Yeah, this seems like it should have been the Monday page. Alternatively, this page could have just been skipped in favor of advancing the plot along instead. Is anyone else getting tired of Baron? He’s like an incompetent version of a Joe Pesci character.
I like the page just fine. If you’re feeling like you don’t like getting a drama story 3 panels at a time try coming in once a week or more, you’ll get a lot more story at one time.

By then Tigerlily would have gotten bored and gone to fetch them herself.
Especially if the robots were able to wind themselves up. Conservation of what, you say?
They could possibly wind each other up.
They certainly seem to be winding the Baron up.
(Note to self: check if this joke only works in UK English.)
Probably only works on anyone over the age of 30 on this side of the pond.

Well yes, but that’s because he is 1 human and they are facing a cybernetic armourd death squad
Technically, Skin Horse defeated The Machines because they agreed to select a “champion”

I’m… not entirely sure how this follows from the previous page. Did I miss something?

“He’s like an incompetent version of a Joe Pesci character.”
Isn’t that kind of redundant?

Just how did Baron Mistycorn and Monstro meet up?
I have this strange vision of the two of them in a halfway house somewhere.
More like a Tijuana bar somewhere, bonding over tequila and low-grade EM pulses from the homemade Tesla coil in the center.
