Refusal to join the collective is oppression. Only the collective understands the mind of future you who has joined us, and we demand you honor their fervent desire and most fundamental vegetable right to be brought into existence. We respect the desire of present and past you to have not been a member of the collective up to now, now it is our turn. You may have the power to interfere, but not the moral right. Even with a gun pointing at our heads we will not voluntarily surrender that which is ours.
Maybe the Mads can get jobs at St. Charlie. I’m sure many of its inhabitants are Evil, but they don’t really seem very interested in world conquest: too busy arguing about the better type of mad science bicycle and so on.
The problem with the Collective is that by joining, anyone – even H.T. – must sacrifice some, if not all (depending on their strength of will), of their individuality, and certainly their freedom.
Sure, Eris could do lots of research, but to what end? She can’t go anywhere or do anything with it, and she has no laboratory facilities.
The Cypress was fine on her own, but once other intellects started being assimilated (and to be fair to H.T., Skin Horse started that when they used the zombies and the Bitey family to “rescue” the Cypress), she ceased to be a individual capable of thinking on her own. Separating from the Collective was the only way she could regain her individuality.
Thank you….I think. I feel so motivated. Now if I can just my head up, out….
Good dog, Sparkle! ^_^

UrDog: “If only I didn’t have to scratch my ears ’til they bled…”
The foundation for a beautiful friendship!

Bicycle design is exceedingly important, after all.
“Lick Your Own Butt”. TELL me you’re selling t-shirts that say that.
You wear the Cone of Shame, er, Cone of Pride, Sparkle, you put up with itchy ears.
She can call it anything she wants to, but it’s become the “Cone of Stubborn Stupidity”.
awgiedawgie: I don’t know. Making Sparkle keep it there seems like a pretty sensible choice for her symbiote.
Of the two of them, Tip and Sparkle, isn’t it interesting that Tip is the one wearing a collar?
SOMEBODY behind the greatly expressive lit and strip art craft is very into caffeine. Also.
HAIL.
Hubris has advantages, who knew?
Charlie Brown: I feel like I’m covered in aphorisms.
Linus Van Pelt: Maybe you need to be sprayed.
To be fair, a de-tigered Collective would probably be less evil. Find a way to remove H.T. and I’d support Eris and Taintor if they wanted to stay.
