It does kinda work, though. AG-I is indeed compromised. And the reason for it is all the idiots. So while it can’t be compromised of idiots, you could say it’s been compromised by idiots.
Master gamer, complete control of his helicopter body, probably has more flight time both in-simulation and real-life than most pilots. I could see that happening.
Manifesta, I don’t mind paying the processing fee either (I already pay VAT anyway so it’s not like a 1$ pledge cost me 1$…). The problem is that Patreon is changing its model to process every pledge individually instead of a lump sum every month. This means you pay a fixed amount *per pledge* ! The result is that for a 1$ pledge you now pay 1.38$ and the creator see 95 cents, so 69% only of your pledge, and a lot of money go to the pledge processor (not even Patreon…) who really doesn’t need it.
Patreon say they’re doing this to be more transparent but the net result is that everybody lose because small pledges (which formed the majority of the donations to most creators) are no longer viable and are getting canceled. All the current problems with Patreon model (where pledge are aggregated) can be resolved without their current drastic measures, so this is a monumentally stupid move.
It didn’t help that Patreon’s communication was terrible and they started by announcing the new “fixed processing fee per pledge” before they explained why they were doing it so what many got out of their initial blog post was a full on greedy move without any advantage…
The Patreon change is terrible. We haven’t been hit as hard as some creators, but if they stick to this new structure we may have to find another crowdfunding site (not that there are a lot of options). If anyone has time, please contact Patreon and tell them this change hurts both creators and patrons!
Compromised, we, and sometime AG-I
Will blow a helicopter from the sky.
Where Skin-Horse will commit some derring-do,
And take the org-charts off for peer review.
Panoptica will make a bundt-cake ring,
And Cinderblock will pick it up and fling.
An act unspeakable will come to be;
Compromised, we! Compromised, we!
Compromised, we, the Habbukuk is manned
With crew and ship picked up at second-hand.
And Sweetheart who will bureaucratize,
Sensing the problem of their compromise.
So Jonah Yu and Nera pay the toll—
Another trip straight down the rabbit hole.
A situation fraught with danger, see?
Compromised, we! Compromised, we!
And this odd way of posting in parts is because, for some reason, the copy slid below and under the stuff on the bottom of the page, making the “post comment” button inaccessible.
Patreon changes: yeah, I had several small pledges totaling $35. the new %+fee for EACH would have added $10 each month! I am not going to pay that much to a middleman. now, if it were a yearly $8 “membership fee”, I might have stayed
OK, they need to get Tip out of that suit. He’s losing his resistance. Also, the new Patreon charges may be intended for transparency, but the vast increase in their profits surely looks suspect. If they’re NOT bent, they should be willing to fix this. And if they are, well…I’m sure someone else can crowdfund a crowdfunding site.
AG-I is compromised of idiots.
Compromised and comprised are two very different words
It does kinda work, though. AG-I is indeed compromised. And the reason for it is all the idiots. So while it can’t be compromised of idiots, you could say it’s been compromised by idiots.
As long as we can reach a compromise.
And it can also be said that AG-I is comprised of idiots.
Pun.
And AG-1 would have gotten away with it too, if it hadn’t been for those meddling kids and the dog! ^_~
So that’s the true meaning of SH AG-I
This is a SH AG-1 dog story?
Yeah, someone already beat you to that joke on Saturday.
*slow clap*
Does this mean Nick’s about to be carpet bombed?
I mean, they’re using super advanced technology just to dress up in ridiculous costumes.
…….and today’s winning of the internets goes to…Towering Barbarian! 🙂
Next few strip:
Nick evading those bullets and missiles like nothing.
“Hey, who knows mastering Tohou will be useful in real life ?”
“My hitbox is only one pixel large, right?”
Master gamer, complete control of his helicopter body, probably has more flight time both in-simulation and real-life than most pilots. I could see that happening.
“Something wrong, Kent?”
Activate Unity
Oh. Yes. Please.
Because of Patreon’s fee structure change, I’m cancelling my Patreon pledges and donating once a year through tipjars and the like instead.
It’ll be interesting to see how many creatives and contributors Patreon drives away.
I don’t mind paying the processing fee if it means that a bigger piece of the pledge goes to the artists.

Yeah, my first thought when I heard about the changes was what it would mean for you. Hopefully things work out. *fingers crossed*
I’m waiting to see what’s what on my bill before taking any action. But don’t be surprised if I give it up, too. Tipjar, ho!

Anyone know about makersupport?

At least the ship isn’t actually theirs, if they can get to Bubbles everything should be OK.
With Panoptics as their leader, you would think AG-I would be less susceptible to manipulation.
Though I never really liked Panoptica so…
